How many of you have been to Disney with kids under 2?

We have taken several trips with kids under 2. I have gone with a 6 month old, twice with a 9 month old (different kids), and with an 18 month old. All of the trips were great. They loved watching everything happen around them. When my son was 18 months he enjoyed the rides and the characters. He is now 23 months and often talks about meeting Mickey and Minnie. He loves to look at the pictures and can identify many of the characters. All ages are fun and Disney has things to accomodate all ages.

Our oldest DD was 3 on her first visit, our 2nd DD was 9 months on her first visit, and on our upcoming trip in March our DS will be 9 months for his first visit. Even though we ended up at the emergency clinic each time, (an ear infection-oldest DD and stomach virus-middle DD) we all had a fabulous trip each time!! Note to self~call the clinic before we leave this time and make PS just in case. LOL ;)

We were there last month when dd was just shy of 1 yr old. She was actually easier then our 4 yr old dd!! The only thing she did not like were the non human characters. We went to Chef Mickey's & she cried every time a character came up.

This is exactly how my daughter was on our last trip!

My son's first trip was at 17 mos...he loved everything. Characters, rides, it didn't matter.

This trip, my son was 4 1/2, and our daughter 13 mos. He still loved it all. My daughter cried anytime a character came near her at Chef Mickey's, but was fine looking at them from a distance. She loved all the rides, though.

I do suggest going back to the hotel for naps, if you can. Or go on the People Mover (sorry, TTA). My daughter fell right to sleep on it, so we went around a couple of times. :)

One other thing I would suggest, is to not go to the parks every single day. At least, this is what we did and it worked great. We did parks every other day, and did something a little less stimulating on the days in between..mini golf, shopping, etc. It gave everyone a little "down time", which I think did us a world of good.

I think it's actually easier when they're babies v. a 3-4 year old. The fears start to kick in at 3-4; I remember carrying my 3-year old son out of Country Bears because he was afraid of the dark.

I have pictures of my daughter at 10 months sitting like such a lady on a sofa in the GF :D Go and have fun!

Took my son at 10 months and 22 months and had fun both times.

10 months was fun because we took lots of video and pictures and the interaction he did with the characters was neat.

At 22 months he was a little more shy but hopefully this year (a year later) he will be better.

I say go and have a great time and take lots of pics and video.
