I think I put this on the wrong board, but here it is again, sorry...

With so many people choosing villa/condo rentals over onsite park hotels, I was wondering how many of you with or without kids,

cook most of your meals at your place,
only prepare breakfast and keep snacks in the refrigerator,
or eat every meal out and just like the comfort of condo/villa living on vacation??

My answer: Depending on where we vacation, such as Disney/Universal this year, we will be staying at the Amerisuites. Having the refrigerator is great for our snacks, drinks, etc. Since the hotel offers free continential breakfast, thats all we need to jumpstart our day, and we usually have a big lunch, and share our dinners. If we have a car this time, we will probably look for places that offer buffets, and splurge on one nice dinner. If we travel to beach resorts, we always book a condo, fix our own breakfast and split lunch and dinners either at our condo or dine out.

I don't cook on vacation. Heck, I hate cooking at home!!!

If we have a villa when we are on vacation, we eat breakfast at the villa and the rest of the meals we eat out.

I don't cook on vacation, unless we are at the beach and decide to stay in one night. And even then it is something easy!

I love to cook. I have a small kitchen at home, so when we stayed in a certain presidential sweet over the holidays, I was enthralled to have a huge kitchen with unlimited gourmet supplies. They had a chef come to cook, but I asked if I could cook his recipes instead....so it was a learning vacation, and a lot of fun. But mostly, unless I can get a villa with a huge kitchen....we eat out.

We have a large family so I cook. I keep it simple thought, easy casseroles, grilling out. We go in the summer so we have breakfast, hit the parks, come back to the house around 1 p.m. to swim, nap, etc. and then go back to the parks at night when it cools off a little. On the first day there I make a big pasta salad and potato salad that we can eat for a few days.
