It's a college savings program, and I signed up because I use a lot of the things they give cash back for and it goes into a savings account for my children, I figured heck I spend the money anyway so why not sign up and save as much as I can? I still have a few years to go for my kids to go to college. How many of you do you do upromise or something like that?

I do -- I haven't checked my balance lately, but hey, any extra $$ for college will help! :)

i do!!! i signed up months ago. i use AT&T and that is on there. one of grocery stores is on there too. i have to register my credit card too. thank you, by the way, for the notice about the disney store being a part of that. i have to shop anyway. and hey~free college money is free college money. i am not going to turn it down!!! :bounce: :bounce:

That's what I figured, these are things that I buy anyway so why not get something back?? It's not like I am buying that on purpose.
Every little bit helps, and BTW, the deal with with the Disney Store is only with the disney store online but I know a lot of people use that too!

I have a piddly $18 earned, but that's $18 more than I had before! Remember that you must first log-in at the UPromise site before shopping online to get credit

We're on board. I think that we've received around $90 towards our son's 529 plan. The actual numbers are small, but we'd be buying the same goods in any event:D ...............

Yet another one. Get your kid's grandparents to sign up also - then THEIR purchases count for your kids too! We make a killing on the purchases at Toys R Us - with Diapers and Formula costs it's building quite nicely. :)

We do - I think I'm up to about $120 this year. It's been growing faster since they added the grocery program in this area.

I'll do alot of my Christmas shopping through Toys R Us this year. :)

My Mom signed up also so we are benefitting from her Coca Cola habit.

:)

I've never heard of this program. I can sign up for this and use the money for a child other than my own? Already paid for ds's college and graduate schooling.

I haven't signed up yet but I really think we should. DH isn't too crazy about the idea though. "How much can you really save?" he says. He's always the skeptic. So everyone give me some more ammo to help persuade him. :D

nativetxn -- If the parents of the child you want to assist has signed up for upromise (http://www.upromise.com), then yes, you can go to their account and add yourself as a donor. It will link your credit card (and cards like Frequent Shopper cards for grocery stores) to their account.

We belong..it really doesn't pay a fortune, but something is better than nothing. Every little bit helps :)

But i don't think it really is doing anything LOL. I belong to my points and earn points that i can redeem for gift cards and stuff

Thanks, SteveH. That is good to know. I need to speak to my niece about this program :)

I belong, too. But it's too late to benefit my kids, I'm using it to help my nephew. :) I didn't know about the DS online. I'll have to check that out.
