How many of us were fertile right off of the bat??(inspired by negative test thread)

I was reading the "negative test" thread and I feel for the woman who is trying so hard to have baby #2 because I have known others who had trouble. We, however, am Fertile with a capital "F"! We have been pregnant 4 times. We lost our first at 12 weeks, and now have 3 kids ages 12, 9 and almost 6. EVERY time we tried we got pregnant the first month we stopped using protection. (warning this may be TMI) for DS we only tried ONE time that month and lo and behold, we had our boy! I plan on using this as another way to convince the kids when they are (much) older that they MUST use protection EVERY TIME because they come from a very fertile family! I had my tubes tied after DS was born.
Anyone else a "fertile myrtle"?

Not me!!! I had to use fertility drugs to get pregnant but once on those on those, it only took two months for each of my kids. Now, my sister is SO fertile!! All she has to do is look at her DH funny and she ends up pregnant!!! Pretty funny, one with ABSOLUTELY no probems getting pregnant (all 3 of her kids were "unplanned", meaning using birth control), where my 2 were all planned, science projects!!!

Umm, yes. First try for DS#1. When we wanted #2 first try again but miscarried, tried again and 1st try again, but miscarried. Then 1st try again and we have DS#2.

No problem getting pregnant with DD#1 -- and no problem with DD#2 (but lost her at 17 weeks), trouble getting pregnant with DD#3 but after two months of trying -- success, trouble getting pregnant with DD#4 (but lost her at 14 weeks) and a little bit of trouble getting pregnant with DD#5 - but did after a month of trying. We're still undecided about whether we'll have more but are afraid that we have a pattern going, have one, miscarry one, have one, etc. so we're trying to decide what to do. I ain't getting any younger so we have to decide real soon .

With ds#1 we were on our first WDW trip ever and decided to start trying.....everyone says it will take awhile. Well we found out about our little souvenir a mere 3 weeks after our trip.

DD - took about 5 months....but she was worth the wait!

With our first daughter my wife we were just dating at the time only a month into it and she missed her pill 1 day and bam she got pregnant. Our 2nd daughter we tried for about 2 months and she was pregnant. Our son well he was an accident again love him to death but again she missed a pill and bam pregnant again.

3rd time trying to get pregnant not going so well, but I am very stressed so we are not "trying" now.

My first pregnancy was a little bit of a challenge. But ever since then, I've been incredibly fertile. I miscarried the first one, and then conceived Jacob 10 weeks later. (Actually, I may have had another miscarriage in between those 2, but I hadn't taken a pregnancy test, so I don't know for sure.) Then this one was really easy. When Jacob was about 10 months old, DH and I decided that we would start him on solid foods, hoping that he would nurse less and I would become fertile again. Apparently I was already fertile because I found out one week later that a baby was on the way.

Not me, but SIL and BIL.
1st son, now11, when they were 16 and on their 1st time
Practiced no contact for a couple years then she went on the birth control implant in her arm. Got pregnant with 2nd son, now 7. Went on oral birth control...#3 a daughter, now 6. Got tubes tied, plus dx'd with cervical cancer and has cervix scraped. Guess what..........youngest son will be 2 in July!! She has again had her tubes tied and has requested BIL get a "V" to prevent any more children.

Personally I would love to another child,but that is not to be for us right now. I did tell SIL if they got pregnant again we would gladly take the baby

We never tried with our first son, so it was just a surprise! And with #2 we did *IT* once that month, and that's all it took! LOL! But, #3 took 7 months of ttc!!! He was born on March 6th of this year and boy was he worth the wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel horrible for those with fertility issues. We have some friends who've been ttc their first for 2 years now.

Yup..I am a fertle myrtle! I never tried and I am always pregnant. In 4 years I have been pregnant 3 times and the third is being delivered october 15th!

I want a lot of kids so I am very fortunate that it doesnt take me long to get pregnant!

For both DD and DS, one try was all it took. But I had a little help. See I have this problem that when I want something, I don't want to wait. So I read this book called Taking Charge of your Fertility, and I tried everything in there that they mentioned. Something must of worked.

Me!! 1st ds wasn't planned, 2nd one we got pg the first month we were trying.

When I got pg w/ my 2nd ds, my hairdresser had been ttc for months & I felt so guilty telling her I was pg. She did end up getting pg a few months later.

I wish it was so easy for everyone!

I am one of those who gets pregnant if DH just looks at me. My sister tried for 5 years and (after losing 50 lbs) is now 5 months pregnant. I really think the weight was it.

When we found out I was pregnant with Samantha my sis didn't speak to me for 4 months. It was one of the worst times of my life. My heart broke for them...but also for my baby who didn't deserve all that stress revolving around her.
