How many MTO discounts can you book on the same cruise?

Folks, quick question. Both my wife and I are U.S. Department of Defense personnel, can we each book a cabin using the MTO discount, one cabin for us and one for another couple?

I believe it's only one.

From the DCL website:
This offer is limited to a maximum of one stateroom per military member (or spouse), per sailing. A U.S. Military service member (or spouse) is required to sail to take advantage of this offer.

The discount is only available to the military member OR a military member's spouse. Not AND. As in the military member may book a room with the discount, OR the military member's spouse may book a room with the discount, but not both of them.

Thanks Justacruise. If I understand what you are telling me we would book one cabin for myself and guest 1, and the second for my wife and guest 2. Have you done this?

BUT be mindful that if you were to book a room for "them" using your MTO, technically you would be assigned to that stateroom and your spouse to the other, therefore your room charges (photo on KTTW card, so you could not swap), your lifeboat assignment, your photo package will all be tied to your friend's spouse and not your own. We sailed MTO and it really would not be worth it to me to try and save the money to be in separate life boats, share on board accounts, photo packages, etc. Yes, technically, you could swap rooms and sleep with your spouse, but your room keys will not work for your spouses room, so you will not be able to get in to your own room...

Just chiming in here to say, yes, it's possible for rooms next door to each other to have different lifeboat stations. That happened to us (one room mustered in the WDT, while the other mustered on deck).
