Okay, I'm not panicking but we are suppose to leave in 5 days for a conference at the YC for DH. Today he dropped the bomb and said he might not be able to attend due to a crisis at work.

DD(8) will be devastated. She has already packed and saved up allowance $$. So, the airfare is paid and if he can't go, DD and I will go anyway. The room at the YC has the conference rate and we will just reimburse the company for the balance (they paid the deposit and can't get it back anyway).

I'll just have to deal with the heat and the crowds (tour groups and all) by myself, but at least we will be at the YC! Can I handle it? I think with alittle pixie dust I can do it . . . . okay, I feel better. Sorry for the rant.

I hope for the best for you!! But you will be able to handle it if you only have your DD. Me in case, I have 3 children 2,6,10. There isn't no way I could to it LOL! If it comes down to it think of it has no great bonding time with you and your DD
