All night friday, all day yesterday minus 20 minutes for lunch and so far all day today. So i voted 20+ hours. Please put me out of my misery! Want to clarify that this is not because of team mebers slacking, all are doing their part and most are right here with me! just that it is my room and if stuff needs to be moved or whaever i should be here.

I got stuck with base camp duty EVERY day of EVERY hour that the judging is since they all want bat magic and I have 7 so I gut stuck with with duty .

All day Friday, All day yesterday, All day today except 2 hour break today.
Glad this is done. I think vmk should change the rules for events likes this in future and have number of people on the teams to be much larger and number of rooms designed by individuals less. There were too many teams to be judged and many of them could have been combined. With the slow connection the judges were getting dc also and had to reride the rides.

I wasn't on a team but, I stayed in team of no returns base camp for about 5 hours this week end.

I almost put weak....

Yes Brain was a real champ for hanging out with us! We were sooooo bored i am sure we were awful company! Thanks Brain!

Yes BerryGirl was there the whole weekend. Many of my team members were there most of each day! What a great team I had!
Woot woot to the team of no return and to those who hung out with us to keep up from going out of our minds!
We had a great time burning our Base Camp after we got the message that the contest was over! Burn Bay Be Burn!

You know what's awful? Most of us probably spent all that time this weekend, and will get nothing in return.

At least I was able to pass some of the time by hitting the boys on my team. That was fun I hit Aengus straight out of the room one time.

I know a few of you have met him a time or two, most have not.. but.. my Propman (aka house band.. aka thanksgiving event grand prize winner!) is a total saint right now! He was a trooper about looking at nothing but the back of my head all weekend. He did start to get a little grumpy on Sunday, when I barely left vmk, but over all, not bad.
I knew of course that was our day for judging and I so hoped to be there for that. I had a totally awesome and large team and we had no problem whatsoever covering base camp, but like Berrygirl I felt like I shouldn't leave my room too long in case anyone needed anything. Oh, and of course I was the only person on my team who acquired crate magic and I was needed often to perform that!
It was a lot of hours, but plenty of entertainment to be had, what with yelling at kids who were begging and doing magic, that helped pass the time well! The duck, duck goats game was fun too. I of course knew it was time for a break when I began to play puppets with yellow tiki and soldier.

*WingedHeart in her Phyllis Diller-Climbs-Everest outfit
*You can sing most of the lyrics to both "My Girl" and "People are Strange" in VMK without doing a dictionary dance.
*If you are sitting next to TpNick and a girl walks up and says "Are you taken?" ... She's talking to him. Not you.
*Small World. Small World. Small World. Small World.
*Wolf, I will be contacting the police regarding items that mysteriously disappeared from Base Camp.
*It's 10:30? Go ahead. Use magic. Dance. Talk Bad. I don't care anymore.

LOL! You don't think VirtuallyMe didn't stick around for the same reason?

There was a moment on Sunday, aka Judgment Day, when I had a sheer
moment of extreme panic. Many of the teammates do not know that
at one time, there was a HUGE mass exodus of VMK disconnects, and
I ended up being alone in Base Camp.

You can be sure I sent a few "Help! I'm alone here!" private messages.
Luckily, the Calvary arrived a minute before I had my disconnect!

I knew Jewel was losing it for a moment when she had the red soldier ask
Virtually Me if she was taken.

LOL yeah I hung in there for the same reason- about 12 hours both days- but I can use other excuse of vertigo acting up from plane so I couldn't walk around much- and my family was all out of town at Mardi Gras...

And yeah- not only did that pushy soldier keep hitting on me but the Tiki kept trying to make me feel bad for not giving soldier a chance lol

One of my favorite send off phrases to our riders was " Hopefully the Yeti ate the rider before you"...I laughed every time that one was typed. And then there was the famous "Let me IN " like we were holding the golden key to ride or something.
