After you have booked way in advance, how many of you have had the price of your cruise to go down? I know DU keeps an eye on this for you and they will rebook at the lower rate, that is who we are booked with but was just curious if this happened very often and how much they usually go down in price. What month do they usually run the specials on the cruises?

yes-when TA applied FL res discount to existing reservation

yes the price of our cruise did go down once.. we had booked threw Dreams unlimited... and they nformed us of the lower price......

Our cruise last May went down several hundred dollars....I just happen to call Disney to add someone (I booked through DIsney last time) and when they figured out the price it was cheaper for the 4 people than for the 3 I had booked for because it went down so much. I don't have much hope of this next one going down...last time I checked the cruise was already well over $1,000 more than I have it booked for.

I have wondered that, too. And, I wonder if it is only certain categories that have a price reduction.

My cruise went UP over $1,300 during the 13 months between booking and boarding. Now, I'm booked for Spring, 2005 and waiting for the May dates to open.

Our's is up about $3000 from when we booked for the 1/3/2004 western

Just went and checked ours again and the price has gone up again too. I'm sure glad I booked early. I'm wondering too if it is only certain catagories that the price drops on. It would interesting to find out.

I was just discussing this with Ann. Last night I searched online to see if our cruise was full, and while searching a few sites realized the cabin we booked had indeed gone down in price. Our early booking rate for a category 11 was 799.00 per adult (100.00 off the book rate), and the rates were advertised as 539.00 on Expedia and 639.00 on Disney's own site! I couldn't believe it. However, this morning those rates were long gone.
It just made me wonder if the ship is more empty than usual? I couldn't imagine the rates going down so close to sail date unless that were the case. Maybe someone else knows for sure? I never would have known this had happened had I not been nosing around last night!:D

Just bumping this up to see if anybody on here this week has any imput.

I have never had one go down, but our 1/25 cruise (the AP cruise) coming up just had a little weirdness go on. I checked probably three weeks ago on the DCL site to see what the rates were up to (we booked way early and I wanted to know) and the rates had gone up $800. Same cabin cat., same booking code, same insurance, etc. Same everything. Then today I checked and the rates have gone back down to what we paid months ago. So I'm guessing that this one isn't filling as fast as they'd hoped so they've dropped it back down (of course, I'd be thrilled if it kept going down). But I feel for anyone who booked during the high time and doesn't check back.

We just sail this past Sept. (Sept 6 - 13th) and booked through Disney. A couple weeks before the cruise, I noticed that the price went down on Disney's Website. I called DCL and they gave us the lower price.
