Hello there
For those of you who had your reception in Epcot could you tell me what the min guests are required to keep both upper and lower french island? I do not want to have people above or below our party should we not have enough guests. Please let me know. :confused3

I'm not sure of how many you have to have to book both, but here's what we're doing. We only have 40 ppl, so we only get one or the other. We're doing upper. The lower at this point is open for another group (wedding, corp event, etc) to book. If we hit the 30 day mark (only 63 short days away at this point - woo hoo) and no one has booked the space, we have the right to book it for only $275. They will set up a few tables and chairs for our guests to hang out down there if they choose, but it will be our space. I personally don't care if it's another party or if we book it, just don't want 100 families crammed down there while we're watching Illuminations - not when we've paid $10k for our day! We watched Illuminations from there in September with the masses and it was LOUD! We saw it another night though when there were 2 parties going on and it seemed like the two didn't even notice each other.

BTW - my EM said that if there was another party there, it wouldn't be a bride and groom b/c of the whole - no two disney brides seeing each other thing - and that they wouldn't be allowed to have music since we're already having music and they'd be competing.

Hope that helps! :)

We had ~40 guests and used the Upper for our cocktail hour, then moved to the Lower for our dinner and cake, and they blocked off the Arm for our bar area. There was a group on the Upper at the end of the evening for a dessert party, but we hardly noticed them. I didn't mind at all. There is a hedge running the length of the upper deck below the upper railing that helps to segregate you from the party above. I think if you could see a group below you that it would be more disturbing and I preferred an unobstructed view of IllumiNations.

That's awfully good that you can just book the lower aswell for the location fee and no extra cost - I have my fingers crossed for you. I too want both Upper and Lower but only have 40 guests at the most, also! Good Luck :woohoo: !
