I am referring specifically to Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. I signed up for the 2011 season pass for the four of us, and in the vein of another poster's kids' birthday question, I am thinking that we could use a guest pass for each kid to bring a friend their during their birthday. Any idea how many guest passes each passholder receives?

The last 2 books had specials for a free guest entry on Mother's Day and Father's Day, and possibly one other day; and 1 for each month from May through Sept on selected dates for 14.99 entry. There used to be 2 (?) free guest passes in previous years though.

This information is from a co-worker who buys season passes every year.

Thanks, njmom! Even with one pass per passholder per month, that gives us four passes each month..

I'm pretty sure they aren't free passes tho, they are discounted admission passes. We stopped getting 6 Flags passes a few years ago, we decided Disney was so much better......lol

They haven't announced what dates the bring a friend free coupons will be yet, we will find out on opening day when the coupon books are issued though.

Typically 1 is good on Mother's Day, Father's Day, any weekday in early June, a September day after labor day and 1 other day.

Sadly with the new management at Six Flags, there have been a lot of cutbacks so the bring a free coupons may not be as good next year. They also got rid of Funatics Rewards which allowed you to earn a free ticket for a friend good any day of the season plus a skip the line pass, free soda etc. They are also cutting the operating schedule. This past season the park opened on March 28th, for 2011 it is 2 weeks later April 9th and the Wiggles are gone from the park (thy didn't want to pay the licensing fee)

edit- here are the bring a friend free dates from 2008
Bring a Friend Free:
BAFF Mother's Day, May 11
BAFF any day Mon-Fri June 2-20
BAFF on Father's Day, June 15
BAFF Mon-Fri Jul 21 - Aug 1
BAFF Sep 14, 20, 21, 27, 28
BAFF to any OTHER Six Flags Park (this was not in the 2009 or 2010 book, one of the past 2 years had the same coupon but for half off admission instead of free).

Pixiewings, I soo prefer Disney, as well!! ;) Unfortunately, I am in Brooklyn, NY, so WDW is 16 hours away and Six Flags is only two, soo...

Yoshi, I agree the park itself is not as it was. What really gets me is the cost of the Fast Passes. I mean, the price to get in a and park a car is high enough-going there with a family can be a real budget buster. My kids love it so much, that we have gone enough to make the tickets worthwhile before summer even hits..lol,,

I agree about Flashpass prices, especially the way they keep raising the prices each season and sometimes in the middle of the season. I try to go on slow days like April weekends and during the week in May and June so I have never spent the money on Flashpass. Same with the food pricing, $6.49 for a slice of pizza or $10.99 for a burger and fries is a ripoff so I just either eat at WaWa or bring food with me and leave in the car. Even the refillable soda bottles at $12.99 with free refills the day of the purchase and $0.99 refills all season would be a great deal except you can't take them in line for the major coasters and have to pay to leave them in the lockers eat each ride. I heard a rumor the lockers might be leaving next season but I am not sure.

Throw in the 30+ rides either removed from the park (or still in the park but not operating anymore like the bumper cars) in the past 10 years and there isn't much to choose from if someone doesn't want just kiddie rides or coasters.

I put up with it because coasters are my #1 interest and other than Hershey which is 2 hours away from me, no other park can really compare to the coasters at Great Adventure.
