How many DVC folks would like/use an AP payment plan like FL residents get now??

Well everyone would love to have another payment option. I mean why would anyone object and say "no I'm against a payment plan". But why limit the payment option to just Florida residents and DVC members?

I would like to see DVC members being offered this because we are probaby the people that go the most other than those that actually live in FL.

We usually plan 3 trips in two UYs to get our money's worth...

seaworld has done this for several years. first if you renewed within their period you get no renewed discount (would think the DVC discount would still apply).

it will renew automatic unless you tell them not too.

universal has started it in the last couple of years. have not done their plan but think it works the same way. no renewed discount. and it is automatic renews.

would almost want the extra $40 than paying montly - of course everyone gets a choice. plus never liked the pass automatic renewing. but that would work to Disney advantage since most of us don't renew - just wait until the next trip and buy it then.

How about this idea?

To make it even more convenient on us and Disney, send out our DVC Member Cards with a magnetic strip and code the APs directly to our membership. No tickets woud be required, then.

I would like the AP plan also, but would like the option to still put the payments on a credit card because I like to get the Southwest Rapid Reward Credits and I am not sure that would be allowed because MS does not allow monthly dues to be paid with a credit card (but will allow a bank draft).
So I always pay the dues in one payment on a card.
I prefer the SW card over the Disney card because to me it is a better value.

The average cost of a plane ticket to WDW is $225 or higher. I would have to spend $22,500 to get $225 worth of Disney Dollars on their Visa. On the SW Visa, I can spend $16,800 + $59 annual fee ($16,859) to get a flight value at $225 or higher--anywhere in the country. (You get 2 credits each year on your anniversary.) Plus, SW runs promos offering additional credits.

I know that depends on if you even fly to WDW or what the average plane ticket runs, but for us, it is a much better deal! Now if only I could put AP monthly payments on the SW card....
