How many disney giftcards have you purchsed at once?

LOL :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: All that trouble for 5% !

I would rather use my Disney Credit card and get 2%, 6 months interest free, and Visa card insurance, in ONE transaction ! JMO:cool1:

What insurance do you get by using the VISA???? I did buy 2 500 cards at Kroger and got 4X rewards for gas. That will give us 4 fill ups at $1 off a gallon. I am debating Target since they only have $50 cards, that's a lot of work!

I was considering going to Target to get some GC. Could someone explain to me about the pharmacy rewards coupon and how someone goes about getting some?

Was told the Disney Rewards Visa Card also offers cardmembers purchase protection, travel insurance, and zero liability on fraudulent card use.
Visa Zero Liability purchase protection coverage
Visa travel protection benefits, including emergency card replacement, travel accident insurance and baggage delay coverage

I need like 90 $50 disney giftcards for our vacation. I've got my target red card debit card and a reward discount as well. You think I can just run in to target and pick all of these cards up?

I have a disney vacation account also, which makes it easy for me to just add these to my account. So when I call to pay off my balance, I just give them one number, instead of reading 90 codes to the phone rep.

What is your credit limit on your Target CC? That is the most you can put on it even if you have a negative balance. Some stores will give you the extra 5% off another card, but that is not a given.

We have two Target CCs. The most we have bought is abut $3800 at one time.

You get it 1 reward for every Rx you fill at Target and pay for with your Target CC or Debit card. Once you get 5 rewards, they mail you the 5% off reward. When you combine the reward with your Target card, you get 9.75% off your entire purchase.

That deal has been killed. You can no longer use the Pharma5 on gift cards of any kind. :(

We got a 5% off card just this week for signing up for pharmacy rewards and agreeing to manage it online, so it is still in effect.

Yes, pharmacy rewards is still in effect. However, you can no longer combine that coupon with your RED card savings towards Disney gift cards.

When Chase Rewards is bonus 5% and my gas station has double fuel perks this lets me get 1500 at a time to maximize the 17% discount. THEN I wait for the next round to happen in the next quarter and get 1500 more at 17%. And now here is the BEST part - my chase freedom points accrue all year - right now I have 700.00 in free money. I then wait for double fuel perks and buy 700 in gift cards, earning 84.00 in free fuel off of free rewards, then go home and move my reward points over to instantly cover the gift card purchase.

So I got 3700 in gift cards for roughly 2300....(taking into account the 17 percent, the 84 in extra free fuel and the free points). It is a BEAUTIFUL thing........

This cycle continues until I have the cards I need for the trip but I always tell my family we get an automatic 17% PIN on food, room, souvineers etc. etc.

We are, positive you can do this.

We bought over 400 Disney cards in one trip just a few weeks ago at target.
The registers at our store could only scan barcodes for $5,000...until the register locked up. As it reached its barcode limit.
Team members were great and very helpful. We just broke each lot of $5,000 into separate transactions.

Red card debit card has a daily limit. However, the red card call center can authorize the store to manually give the 5% discount. And allow you use use another form of payment in place of the red card card.

We were able to stack pharmacy 5%
Thought some people are reporting you can no longer do this.

Wonder if you can still stack employee discount
Or if they took this away with the pharmacy stacking discount this week??

Glad we got bulk of our cards we we did
As some friends of our tried yesterday...but could not stack their pharmacy 5%

Well, thank you target it was a good deal/run while it lasted.

I'm interested in the vacation account you mentioned and how you can add your GC to this!!

I can't post the link b/ c I don't have enough posts, but if you google disney vacation account it will take you to the page on the Disney site. I was just looking at this recently, sounds like a great way to consolidate small gift cards.

Thank you. It sounds like a good idea too me too.

Just read the fine print :). I got all excited to possibly use it for an upcoming trip, but it only works out if you are paying for a package in advance. I'm going with rooms through orbitz & tickets from UC, was hoping I could charge meals to MB & pay with vacation account upon checkout, but doesn't appear to be doable. But great to keep in mind for future trip if going with a package.

Do a search on this forum before you fork over your money/GCs to Disney for one of these accounts. There have been reports of people having a lot of difficulty trying to actually use the vacation savings. I think Disney needs to iron out a lot of the bugs and get CMs well-trained for it to roll out properly. You may want to wait until the dust settles.

Yeah I see that. I love the concept, and right now I'm just looking for ways to save (we have to wait a little while to go back to the world, finances are reeeeeely tight at the moment)

I did look up the information and there seems to be some unanswered questions for me on this.
Like. Can I buy the annual pass with it?
We don't use the dining we use the 20% dining card. Can we purchase that with the account?

But.... On a plus side if we use the target 5% to get GC then put that in the account and then purchase the room and tix with the acct. and get the GC bonus it could save us $$ in the long run.

Still tossing ideas in my head, and if they work out the bugs this is if anything a partial option to save and play.

A 17% discount does sound intriguing. I have the Chase Freedom card, so I will have to look into this.

If I understand this correctly, your gas station sells Disney gift cards? Wow, I've never heard of this. It'd be great to buy gift card and have it be considered "gas station purchases"

Yes I is awesome. CHASE changes their bonus categories every quarter. So when it is grocery quarter I get the giftcards there. Gas stations seem more popular with Chase though....So I jump on it as 17% off is a lot when you factor food, souvineers, room, etc....
