Alrighty then, without further ado, lets head straight to OUR regularly scheduled life...:cheer2:

Let us start off with WHO?

That would be myself :wave2: Roxanne along with my husband of almost16 years, Steve(DH). Also with us will be our 2 children, Taylor(DS1) & Matthew(DS2). I'll go into further detail on each of us further on)

Now is the WHEN?

We will be arriving on Nov. 28, the day before DH's birthday. We'll be staying untill Dec. 8, which includes our 16th Wedding Anniversary during that time frame.

Next is WHERE?

We're staying at our current favorite, Port Orleans French Quarter Resort.Having stayed at a wide range of the resorts, we really prefer this one. Many advantages & reminds us of home used to be.:artist:

Now is where the HOW comes in...

When this trip was in the early stages of planing, flying was the way to go. We've driven there before but the benefits outweigh the negative things. However, obstacles never stopped & we thought we'd have no other choice but to drive. Untill recently we were blessed :littleangel:& I do believe we will be flying; although flights are not booked at this time. Prices are falling & I think it will soon be booked. pixiedust:

I'll start throwing in a few pictures so you may actuallymeet our cast better. I'll fill you in on all the new things we'll be experiencing this trip (remember, a birthday & an anniversary is in this mix)I'll be able to tell you more about the blessing which is helping us out with this trip. And give you some background on the title of OUR thread.

Once again, the WHO

This is us ♥ ♥ Steve & Roxanne

Background on US
Roxanne, born going to Disney with bottles & diapers. My family were avid Disney fans. Making many trips there but as we all got older, the trips stopped. I am the youngest daughter of 3. My momma, my best friend, the woman who introduced me to Disney sadly passed away nearly 3 years ago. I wasn't very close to my father but I do love him. Situations beyond my control has made it be where I'm not as close as I'd like to be with him.

Steve, grew up never experiencing Disney or any other family vacations for that matter. He has an older sister & they are both pretty tight knit with their parents.

Steve & I met in our Junior year in Highschool. :flower3: So, yes we are the typical Highschool Sweethearts. We dated, fell in love, married & honeymooned in Disney. BAM! He now had the Disney bug!! We went on to have 2 children, who have been to the world a dozen times between the two of them. Guess now would be a good time to show off my babies!!

Once again, the WHEN...
We went on our Honeymoon & vowed to go back every other year. Things happen, like pregnancies & birth, which messed that up. :coffee: Not in a bad way because we always would "make it up". Then, other life events occurred which made us go at times we normally wouldn't have. Like, the loss of a job, a wedding! Anywho, this will be the 2nd time there for DH's birthday. We've celebrated many, many anniversaries there. But, this trip still has a few new things thrown in....hummmm...

The WHERE....We've always stayed onsite except for our Honeymoon. We knew we loved the mods & I'm sure we would love the deluxes but we haven't experienced that just yet. But we know we don't care for the values. Buses, mainly but overall. Last year, while being a part of a wedding, we were reminded of that disliking so opted for POFQ this time. It reminds us of how New Orleans used to be. We live near there. Only now, way too much violence. So, its a nice welcome.

Back to HOW...Our 45 day mark is getting close. We recently had the joy of having a hurricane rip through our area causing our income to take a big dip. We weren't sure if we could meet our 45 day deadline. We debated downgrading, cancelling....well, my DAD offered to allow us to use his credit card to pay it off. One problem, he doesn't have any. But I took him up on it & applied for 3, hoping he gets 1 & we can do this. I'm sure it'll work. ::yes:: Our credit is bad because of a bankruptcy we had to file after loosing my job.

Next up will be the reasoning behind the trip title...& a few mentions of the new things we'll experience on this, 15th or so trip of mine...

As promised, back to give the details.....

I have always been an avid planner at anything I put my mind to. I like to overplan. I want everything to be perfect, or as close to it as possibble:thumbsup2 In 2009, my life changed completely in so many ways. I was raped in my home, my mother died suddenly, I was involved in a horrible wreck where I broke DH's neck, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer which ended up spreading to the uterus, I lost my Grandfather, I lost my job of 18 years, broke my foot requiring screws to be put in, got into another wreck, got addicted to pain pills, lost all my friends, lost all my money, filed bankrupcy.....basically lost MY life.:worried:

Fast forward....some of those things I can't fix. What I could, I have but I still feel like I don't give my ALL anymore. But lately, I'm trying more. I'm planning both boy's birthday parties at the present time & this wonderful trip! :woohoo:So I consider this to be my regularly scheduled life....

Now, as for some of the new adventures we will include this time around......

•This trip will actually be a bit longer than usual ones.
•I found all kinds of neat birthday decor & we're making some as well to totally decorate the room for DH's birthday.
•I'll be ordering custom cakes (1 for birthday, 1 for anniversary & maybe a chocolate Donald Duck w/tuxedo strawberries.
•Pirates & Pals Cruise
•Tomorrowland Terrace Wishes Buffet Party
•Be Our Guest for dinner Reservations
•Rainforest Cafe dinner reservations (DTD)
•Blizzard Beach
•Spirit of Aloha
•We'll be there for the Fantasyland Expansion Opening
•Hot Air Balloon Ride
•1900 Park Fare for dinner reservation

Now while some of these things may mean nothing to you all, its great for us. That in addition to things we're doing that we have already experienced will make this trip terrific!

Coming up next: day by day plans... (& hopefully my readers will chime in with advice, opinions, comments....)

Day 1, Nov. 28

Arrival Day

As of now, flights aren't booked but that is the method of arrival we are opting to take. There are 2 flights I'm looking at; arriving at 6:40 or 8 something. If things don't work out we'll drive but not quite sure what time arrival would be if done this way. Soooo...popcorn::while waiting on that, I can't comment on Magical Express.

Either way, we're headed toward Port Orleans French Quarter Resort....we will be getting there pretty late regardless which route so my plan is to eat a quick dinner at the airport & just settle in. Maybe go to Scat Cats get a cocktail, let the kids swim or just walk around & enjoy the sernity of this resort.

Next post...Day 2, a birthday celebration with lots planned...

Day 2, DH's Birthday!!!

Okay...I plan on waking earlier than everyone else. I've bought some reusable Disney birthday clings that I plan on putting around the room. I've bought a mouth blowable Mickey table balloon with colorful fringes. A BIG birthday button. I've got an all in one Mickey gift bag that includes paper & card that I will fill up with pirate stuff....pirate:, yes that is correct. It is going to give hints to plans later that night. I may also bring a few other colorful balloons to blow up. I'm currently making a colorful garland for the window. I will include some of the birthday items...
SAM_0685.jpg
SAM_0686.jpg
SAM_0687.jpg
That is all the stuff I spoke of & more, chair cover, cards, bags, pirate stuff, decoration kits, decals & I done a close of the decals cus I think they're the cutest :goodvibes

After everyone else wakes, we'll be headed to our first park of the trip!! We'll be headed to....

Magic Kingdom

I don't know if its just me but I love starting off at MK. But, we'll only have a couple hours....so, I have a little plan of the order which I want to visit attractions but if we don't do them in that order or finish, no problem.
•Get FP Big Thunder Mtn.
•Pirates of Caribbean
•Big Thunder Mtn.
•Haunted Mansion
•Get FP Space Mtn.
•Monsters Inc.
•Buzz Lightyear
•Space Mtn.

Then we'll be off to Chef Mickey's!!! I plan on ordering the birthday boy one of those mini wedding cakes but decorated Donald Duck colors. The serving size is for 2, I believe, which is perfect because I don't want anything leftover to carry around. Afterwards, we'll be on our way to the next park....

Epcot

This is DH's favorite park. Again I have a touring plan set out but if it doesn't work out, we'll survive :cool1: We really are go with the flow people....
•Innoventions East
•Figment
•Crush
•Nemo
•then walk from Canada going toward Via Napoli, which is where our next dinig adventure will be. Per request of the birthday boy. I'd like to surprise him with a white chocolate Donald Duck with 4 or 5 tuxedo strawberries (I don't know if this is possible yet)
•make our way back by boat/walk to Ellen's Energy
after that, we should make our way on over to the next & final birthday adventure...

Pirates & Pals Cruise
This is a 2 hour cruise that departs from the Contemporary. From what I hear its great for adults & children :goodvibes

I think this will be a very full, tiresome day but we can hang. More than likely everyone will be in bed & sleeping fast but the following day doesn't appear to be as hectic.

I'd love to hear any feedback, positive or negative. So, don't be afraid-reply :thumbsup2

Getting nervous because the credit cards to pay for things haven't come in yet though they've been approved & should have been here by now :confused3 thats why I shouldn't rely on that....but onto day 3, which will be...

Hollywood Studios

We will try making rope drop. Plan is to mad dash to Toy Story Mania & get FP. Last few trips we've been missing this becauseI refuse to stand in that line but this attraction is soooo fun for everyone. Basically gonna try squeezing in as many times we can to make up for all the times skipped :goodvibes So here is the outline for today...

•Toy Story
•FP Toy Story
•ToT
•RnR
•Toy Story
•FP Toy Story
•Star Tours
•Voyage Mermaid (if this still exists...does it?)
•Playhouse Disney
•Animation (the whole family really loves to draw :goodvibes)
•Eat, anywhere....don't really care for any places here a whole bunch so any CS will do
•coordinate times to do whichever of the following:
Indiana Jones/LMA/Backlot/American Idol
•fill in any open times with any of:
Muppets/Movie Ride
(I'd like to make a mad dash to Beauty & the Beast at the show time nearest 4pm & maybe possible catch the lil Pixar Party thing)-(no big deal if we miss any of it though because we'll be bacl)

we'll stay on the move till around 6pm to make it to our dinner location which is per request of DS1

Whispering Canyon

though we've eaten here before, the kids don't recall it much & one day I was telling them stories of this place. DS1 was intrigued by them sending bookoo bottles of ketchup or the giant glasses of drink... I think this will not fail....

afterwards, we'll head on over to EPCOT once again, as it is a late night there, till 12:30 am I believe

the order of touring this place will be in an attempt to catch stuff missed out on the previous day:

•Spaceship Earth
•Soarin
•Living with the Land
•Mexico, walking...working our way to however farwe can make it till we feel like leaving.

on a lil side note, I had to fix up my signature to be able to include this PTR...so I'll be checking it out making sure everything I want to appear shows up...heehe ;)...1 month, 3 weeks sure seem sweeeeet!!

Is my title not catchy enough?? I'm debating on continuing this. I was coming to put up my next day's plans but I have no followers so I'm having 2nd thoughts on writing this....

Oh & I see I still have to fix up my signature. Things arent's showing up correctly. May be back later with an update or a deletion :confused3 what gives???

Decided to stick it out for a while...onto...

Animal Kingdom

Order of touring plans today:

•Get FP for Expedition Everest
•Kilimanjaro Safari
•Expedition Everest
•Kali River Rapids
•Maharajah Trek

•Festival of Lion King
•Camp Minnie/Mickey
•should be around parade time, we'll try catching it

Magic Kingdom

We'll squeeze in the following attractions, maybe more, maybe less:

•Splash Mtn.
•Magic Carpets
•Tiki Room

we also have reservations for........

Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Buffet!!

We've never been to this before & we're all really excited. I didn't plan on alot of meals today because I am hoping to actually fill up on desserts, kids will not believe this :rotfl:everyday we'll eat a lil breakfast bar in the room unless we have breakfast reservations of coarse. I tend to have 1 CS & 1 TS per day but today may include a lil more snacking to hold us up till the buffet. I bring snacks & we also buy some there.

So, anyone ever been to the dessert buffet & would like to share anything about with me??

Just started reading your PTR. Sounds like you had a bad bit for a while:mad:. I am glad that things are finally getting better. :):goodvibes.

I have been enjoying your PTR. I have been thinking of doing the Hot air Ballon ride. Dont know if it interests you or not but its only $10 if you go early in the morning. :thumbsup2

Welcome to my first friend on this PTR!! So glad u stopped by. I deff wanna include the hot air balloon & at that price, why not!! Is it more expensive as the day goes or only operates in morning?

I also wanted to drop by & speak of the southwest airline deal I just saw on here. BIGDEAL40 is the code & it brought my round trip flight for a party of 4 to $633!! That's more than half less than the original prices I'd been watching. And my dad called today saying the credit cards are in. So I hope to take advantage of this savings tomorrow. Maybe someone else will benefit from seeing it here also.

The deal is $10 before 10am for the hot air balloon. After 10am its 18 per person.

Sweet!! Congrats on finding that awesome airfare.:hyper: We wont need tickets which is a good thing our budget would just bust if we added one more thing to it.

Cant wait for your next update. pixiedust:
