How Many Days? Need advice!

Loved MaxPass last time we were there. Better than having to hoof it across the park to get a paper FP. We usually do 4 days in the parks. We go on our favorites multiple times. I love it all.

I'm thinking 4 days because I don't know the next time I'll get out there, so I'd like to ride things multiple times and really soak everything in!

I have another question. I'd like to stay off property, but as close as we can. My first choice is the BWPPI, but I'm also considering the Anaheim Hotel because it's cheaper. I worry about that one because of all the issues Craig and Ryno had when they stayed there. Anyone think it's worth staying there?

If you're looking for a cheaper and closer off site property, why not consider the Tropicana? It's the 2nd closest hotel to Disney's Harbor Side entrance (5 minute walk) and also one of the lower priced options from the properties close by.

My husband and I always do 4-5 days. We did 3 days once and it felt like we didn't *quite* get to do everything. My husband and I like to go around the parks leisurely. We don't typically do fastpasses or anything like that. We kind of just go around at our own pace, because eventually we'll ride pretty much everything we want. I will make a couple of dining reservations, but we don't like to pigeonhole ourselves into a schedule by having too many scheduled events. I always get a Park Hopper because it's nice to be able to go back and forth. We don't usually get to the Parks immediately when it opens (so rarely ever take advantage of Magic Morning), but we will stay until the park closes. Walking around Disneyland/California Adventure at night is one of my favorite parts of the day.

3 days is perfect for us with parkhoppers. We did 4 days last time and it was a bit too long. I know I'm the odd man out, but the parks are so much smaller than WDW and so crowded, and way more doable in a shorter amount of time. Have a great vacation!

For us, 3 days is enough IF you don't care as much about shows/parades and you don't mind go-go-go. For our canceled 2020 trip, we opted for 5 days because we wanted it to be more leisurely and relaxed. Whenever we finally reschedule that one, we'll probably go back to 3, maybe 4 days. We'll see.

I am trying to help my daughter plan a trip to Disneyland for March of next year. We are DVC but also military as well. So I am just trying to figure out the best way to help them- is it cheaper to just stay at hotel across street money wise and what is normally the discount for military since no AP for DVC now. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's possible, but not easy to add an additional day down the road. It involves refunding your old tickets (if you get a cast member who is willing and able) and then you lose your attached reservations and the refund can take 8-10 weeks to process. So, it really only works if you do it early enough to re-book your reservation dates and you don't mind waiting 8-10 weeks for the refund on your original tickets. I definitely recommend booking as many days as you think you might want from the beginning, especially since those 4th and 5th days are pretty cheap comparatively.
