Hello

My fiance and I want to make a stop at Disneyland for our Honeymoon before we go to Hawaii!!! (I dont think I can handle the straight flight from nyc to hawaii :scared1: )

I was curious if anyone could help me...How many days would it take to go through everything disneyland has to offer..Is 2 or 3 days enough..we have been to WDW many time (we got engaged on main st :goodvibes ) and would love to make disneyland a part of our honeymoon.

any thoughts would be appreciated
thanks so much in advance

IMO it really depends on a few factors...

When is your honeymoon? And do you want to be able to do everything, including all the shows? If you're wanting to just hit all the major rides and bypass the shows & parades, you can do it in less time.

If it's during peak season, I'd say you'd need at least 3, if not 4, days to see both parks. If it's off season, you could do it in 2, but you'd really have to put in some jammed pack days. The park hours vary greatly from off-season to peak season so you should take that into consideration. Of course off-season means less crowds so that often negates the issues of the park being open less hours.

So IMO, if you can do 3 days that'd be better. It'd allow you to do everything, including shows, during off-season. During peak season you'd get to do all the rides and probably most of the shows if you utilitze the fast pass system properly.

Congrats on your upcoming marriage! :cloud9:

We have never and will never go peak-season, so for us, we do a half to a full day (open til close) at DCA, then 2 to 2.5 days in DL. We don't do everything - just the rides and features we want.

we would be arriving the first week of OCT probably get there on a monday or tues and leave on a thurs...is that considered peak time????

No that is not peak time. School is in session. I would give yourself 2-3 days. Just remember, that fireworks will most likely not be shown on weeknights, only weekends. Also, park hours will be shorter. Probably 10 - 8 or so. You might want to plan to spend some times at the resort or DTD.

When I go to Disneyland, I can get everything done in 1 day, of course Ive been there TONS of times so I pretty much know the whens and wheres of everything.

Also when I go, I get there right when they open and dont leave until they kick us out after everythings closed down, which usually is about a 16 hour day. And of course by the 14th hour, legs and feet are pretty numb.

If you wanna avoid the numbness, do a 2 day trip.

Honeymoon- we went to DL for ours but that was 18 years ago! Wow, time flies!!! Anyway, when we went back then we had a 3 day pass and that was good for just 2 people. But now they have DCA. We have been with the whole family in Oct and the lines a very low- we are going again next Oct. I would say for 2 people you need 2 days at DL and 1 day at DCA. And get the hopper tickets cause if DL gets busy in the afternoon you can buzz over to DCA for the afternoon.
Have fun!

Congrats! You are giving yourself plenty of time. I also suggest the park-hopper tickets, DL can get very crowded later in the day and it is nice to be able to go to California Adventure where there are less crowds.

I am from So Cal and have had an annual pass since I can remember--Sept/Oct is a great time to come. You will probably spend most of your time at DL since you can do all of DCA in one day. Hope you have a great time!
