I have 3 kids who love HP. But they are all too young to do the really intense Rollercoasters. How many days do you think we need to do the parks??we would probably stay onsight and spend the majority of our time at WWOHP. Would 2 or 3 be OK???

I'm in a similar boat. I'm a die hard HP fan going to WWoHP with kids who aren't crazy about rollercoasters, but are willing to try Forbidden Journey of Harry Potter. We're going for 3+ days and here's the plan:

Day one, enter IOA as early as possible, ride FJ as many times as we can before lines get crazy then ride Hippogryff (which is a kiddie friendly ride) a few times. Then spend the rest of the morning shopping at Hogsmeade before having lunch at Three Broomsticks. Afternoon doing other IOA rides before heading back to Potterland for end of day.

Day two, early IOA for breakfast at Three Broomsticks, then off to Olivander's for wands (something that will be just as good as a ride, and probably a line as long as a ride - but you're kids will love it so don't miss it!). Go through line for Dragon Challenge just to see the sets, then chicken out before ride. Then spend afternoon at Universal Studios.

Day three, early IOA for more HP rides and shopping, then do anything else we may have missed. hehe :lmao:

I think you'll be fine with two mornings at HP if you get in at early entry time for on site guests, but if your kids are anything like the uber fans I'm going with, you'll be happy for three, then at least you can have some time to try a few of the other rides and attractions at Universal.

There's plenty of stuff for the kids to do that aren't roller coasters :)
We're going 3 days - 1 at US, 1 at IOA and 1 catching up on our favourite rides on both.

The HP area itself won't take days to explore in itself since its not that huge :)

Three days would be enough time to do everything and then go back for the favorites.

Add me to the we're doing three days list! I think it's perfect.

we are going from july 25-31!:goodvibes 6 days with a six month old and two grandparents! Think thats enough? :lmao:

I'm glad you asked this question...We will be there for three days, but one of them we will be visiting SeaWorld, although I keep waffling back and forth about this.

I never considered doing IOA for two straight morning and spending the afternoon/evenings at US. Since we are staying onsite this might be a good option!

Its actually a great option - as it does seem like half of Universal doesn't open very early. It might just have been that we were waiting for particular things that appealed to our very young boys:confused3, but next time we will do IOA in the mornings and hold off on Universal until the afternoons :thumbsup2

jmho, there is lots to do @ Universal right now, HP is just the icing on the cake:thumbsup2

especially, if you r combining the trip w/the park down the road, i'd do 2 nights onsite, while enjoying 3 full days of the FOTL perc.
