I showed my dd pics of Remy at Chefs de France, and now that's all she has been talking about. We will be there May 12- 19, 2010. Will Remy still be there???

Can't tell. Disney hasn't been specific. They have said only that Remy's visit has been extended "indefinitely."

Make sure you don't make a reservation for a Sunday, as Remy has Sundays off.

We did this for our last visit and it was for lunch. I am so happy he stuck around. It is really neat because they go table to table so everyone gets to seem him and no one has to get up!

My son was a total REMY lover!

From the schedules we've seen, he isn't there after 6 PM, so booking lunch or early dinner is preferable. I'd go before 5.

I'm glad you asked this. We booked a lunch at Les Chefs de France during our last trip. We dined there on Sept. 2nd.

At that point in time, Remy's appearances had just been extended to Sept. 5th and I was so excited that we would have the chance to see him.

Now that I am planning our Summer 2010 trip, I am hoping that he will still be there. We are coming up on 180 days so I am thinking of booking lunch at Chef's and just keep checking.

Lunch with Remy was a real highlight of our trip. It was a very unique character interaction. He was adorable and his handler was tons of fun. He kept congratulating us on getting to see him (the handler - not Remy). It was too funny.

Lunch was delicious, our waiter was a sweetheart (young college age boy named Jonathan - I am really bad with names, but will always remember his, because I never did pronounce it correctly :sad2:) Hick American!!

Anyway, I feel that, as long as Remy is at Les Chef de France then it will be on our Disney must do list!

I hope you don't get a solid answer......because that would mean an end date for Remy :sad1:

I hope you and your family get the chance to dine with him. It is a very unique experience. Good luck!!!

So maybe this is a dumb question, but what is he? an audio-animatronic? That's totally cool, however it works. We are going there for lunch in august and i hope he's still around.

(look at the dad's face in that pic!! :rotfl2: priceless!)

Ohhh!!! I do hope he is still there in May! We will be going May 9-16!!

We went to Chefs De France for Dinner this past July - I had specifically asked about Remy when I made the ADR (Becky is a huge Ratatouille fan) and was told there was no set schedule....
When I got there they told us it was only for lunch, I was kinda mad! I've had good meals there before, but this one was't..the chicken was dry, the service was way too low and we had to keep reminding him abou things we ordered...I'm sure it was just an off day...
Well, we're heading back in 3 weeks - I don't have adr's for france, but maybe we'll pop by in the afternoon and see if they cn squeeze us in.

He is animatroic, but stays in one place. He body wiggles a bit and his hands move. He squeeks in response to your questions.

We had so much fun meeting Remy in January. At first, it looked like Remy's handler was going to pass us by, I guess since we were a table of only adults. But our waiter (total sweetheart) grabbed her and made sure they came by since I had been talking about it.

The handler controls Remy's movements with little buttons on the silver dome that covers the plate. She pulls it off to reveal Remy and holds it a bit behind her back while she pushes the buttons.

Remy wasn't too pleased that we had named our kitten after him.

I made a 5:00 p.m. ADR last August at Chefs as I had read that his appearances are 20 minutes past every hour with 5:20 being the last one of the day.

When we were seated, we asked our waiter Sebastian, who was a total delight in every way, about Remy and he feigned horror at the suggestion that there was a rat in his restaurant. When Remy came around the main dining room, Sebastian took my son by the hand and brought him to meet Remy there. The presentation was adorable!

The meal was a highlight of our trip, and we plan to eat there again next August. We'd be thrilled to see Remy again although, truth be told, I'll be just as happy to see some young Frenchmen. (Those French boys bring out the cougar in me! Ooo la la!)

I found out about it from a friend who suggestion I look it up on YouTube. That's where I found it. You can kind of see how it works ... just don't show the kids so they are suprised!
