How long will a resort hold an item in lost and found?

We took some swimsuits out to the balcony to dry the other night and completely forgot to check our balcony (duh!) when we left early the next morning. I called customer service around 1pm yesterday, we were staying at the AKL, but didn't get a live person so I left a message. I called around 3pm yesterday and didn't get anyone again.

Typically how long will a resort hold an item? Have you ever arranged for a forgotten item to be shipped? I'm willing to pay whatever shipping costs if they've been found.

I believe they generally hold things a maximum of 24 hours and then found items are transferred to the main lost an found department at the TTC.
I don't know what you mean by calling "customer service" but try calling Lost and Found.

It is not the TTC you want. You want to ask for the main Lost and Found office.

If memory serves from when we left something behind, the resort lost & found, is the housekeeping supervisor. If there out & about the resort working, they can be hard to pin done. It's a shame they didn't return your call, but your items have probably moved to the main lost & found by now anyway. Good luck!

Well I called about 3 times and got different answers each time. I was on hold for 20 minutes with lost and found without talking to a live person so I hung up. Then I called an hour later and was informed that lost and found was closed, but they connected me anyway to leave a message. I actually got a live person who I gave the information to. They said they would call either way if our items were found and that was 5 hours ago. I hate to keep calling, but both my swimsuits were new and I'd like to get them back. :/

My sister left a whole drawer full of clothes a few years ago at Riverside and she called them directly (Riverside front desk I guess) and they mailed it all to her. I don't remember her having any trouble getting through though. Hopefully your stuff will be found.

Ditto a bathing suit I left at Pop. Called within 24 hours of leaving and "No one saw it."

I just called the front desk at AKL to at least speak with a live person. They did look into but I don't remember the name of the person who helped me this morning. I left another message with lost and found with my phone number, but I was informed they closed lost and found at 4:30 EST, so I'll need to follow up tomorrow morning.

We left two iPads in our room safe after leaving AKL last year. I found two numbers at the time, but don't recall which I used to get a hold of someone - 407-938-3000 and 407-560-5408. I do recall that I had to call them twice but managed to reach a live person both times. I was under the impression I was speaking to AKL lost & found, but it may have been a call center or central location. Either way, they asked my name and room number and had my lost items logged in the system. They were able to overnight ship them back to me to arrive on the day I was getting home. I was very pleased with how it was handled. Good luck!
