How long to tour the All Star Resorts?

Hi. We wanted to tour the All Star Resorts on one of our off days because we think they would be the most fun ones for our son. How long should we plan on it taking to tour all three? I have no idea how big the grounds are, so I can't figure it out on my own, but basically, we'd like to take some photos and let him run around a bit and have fun. We were also thinking of maybe going swimming in the pools there if it is too hot. (JK!!) We're not looking to keep a commando schedule, just a basic time frame so we can see some of our top priorities. Thanks! Oh, one more thing- how far away is POP? We'd like to go there too. I know, who stays (on-site) at a non value resort and then only cares about seeing them? We're bass ackwards, what can I say...

This would take maybe a leisurely hour and a half stopping for pictures and taking your time. You are not supposed to swim in the pool if not staying at the resort. I do not know if you would be stopped though. This time would allow for pictures and walks through the resorts. If you take a bus to the resort you will have to walk from one resort to the other instead of getting on another bus to the next resort. They are all close together and in fact are very similar in style but different in theme. Really once you have seen one All Star you have essentially seen them all. Each just has a different theme.

Thanks! I was just kidding about swimming in the pools, I know you can't do that. We will be driving, so we don't have to worry about the buses. I thought it would take longer, I'm glad it won't, that way we can truley go as slow as we want to without worrying about missing anything, especially if my son really loves it.

Not sure how old your DS but you might spend more time than you think. In Sports the football field with large X's and O's were very appealing to our DS, age 2, as was the basketballs on the building in the hoops section. We only toured Music and Movies in the dark and didn't see every themed section but our son enjoyed the street-like scene of Broadway at Music and we spent a good deal of time in Andy's room and the Herbie section at Movies.

You could probably just park once. Half the fun for our DS was walking across the parking lot seeing the larger-than-life stairwells and getting excited to be heading for them.

Yeah, I was planning on about three hours (including lunch at one of the food courts) so he could have as much time as he wants to play. Any more than that and he'd probably pass right out!
