I am in the early stages of planning a trip to U.S, IOA and CW for my family of 6, me ,dh, ds 14, dd 12, ds 8 and ds 5. I am thinking of December 21 to 27. Is this too many days? I have read that the parks are very crowded this week and want to make sure we get to do a lot. I am also planning on staying onsite. How many days does everyone do?

We stay onsite a week, but our trips are more than just the parks .We spend alot of downtime at the resorts and about 4 days at the parks( 2 days for each). However, if you main focus is only the parks, then 3 days should do it.One for each park and one to do over whatever you want to do.If you are planning on staying onsite , the express pass along with early entry will greatly help cutdown on waits.Just keep in mind that the only 3 resorts that offer the express passes is the 3 current deluxe resorts. The newest moderate ( Cabana Bay). Will only offer early entry and not the express pass.

Thanks. I am in the early stages and don't know what our main focus is. I want to do everything! lol! Cabana Bay looks really nice and for my family of 6 the price is great. Long lines don't bother me too much maybe we will use the extra days to make sure everyone gets to do everything on their list.

You could do that. But be aware that by long lines, I mean like 90-180 mins long ...It gets just as busy as Disney does during christmas week.If you are going to go and stay at Cabana Bay, make sure you get to the parks for early entry at the very least. That will help you get the most done in the early part of the day.

it will be so much cheaper staying at CBay for the 6 of you instead of having to book two rooms at one of the three onsite hotels for your family.

if your vacation will start on the 21st of dec, do more of the parks before the 25th so the rest of your stay you won't be pressed to do rides with long waits on the other dates.
