How long to receive paperwork?

We FINALLY decided to buy in and got the ball rolling last Monday when AKV opened to the public. We thought we'd have paperwork by now. How long does it normally take to receive the closing paperwork? And then after we send it back, how long will it take before we can do anything with our points - ie make a ressie? I think I read on here that you have 10 days to 'back out', so I'm guessing they would not make your points available until after the 10 days have passed. ?

We are making a trip in Sept/Oct and are flexible on dates, but because of F&W and MNSSHP we are anxious to book while we still can. I know that AKV can't be booked until May, but we aren't needing to stay there so we thought we'd reserve somewhere else.

If this takes until, say, early April, will we still be able to book something?

Well it took us over 2 weeks (full weeks, not business weeks) to get our paper work. We turned the paper work around in a day. And it took another week to get into the system. This was for a new contract at DAKV, on 1 Feb. My guess is that they have taken care of the backlog from 1st by now.

As far as first date to make reservations, middle of May has been floating around. I too have a trip planned for Oct, I know the dates already. So I'm waiting to find out when I can make reservations.

It took us a couple of weeks to get some of the paperwork. We noticed that the discloser's were missing so I called and it took a couple more weeks for them to arrive. We were in the system in two days and booked using our Developer points that day.

When I bought..I was in the system before all the paperwork was sent/received.

I know they are busy with all the new sales, but, call your guide ...you are probably "in" the system already, get your membership # and you can make ressies right away.

FYI, we're in the same boat...and still waiting for paperwork. Bought in on the 5th, still no visit from Mr. Fedex man.
