How Long To Points Load

We received our membership number today but when I called the points aren't in our account yet. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, how long did it take for the points to load. I am so anxious to make my first reservation.

Resale or direct?

Bill is right. It definitely makes a difference if it is direct or resale. And when did you close? You said you received your membership number, but was that today or last week?
 
We bought resale. We closed on Oct. 16. Received our letter on Oct. 17th saying we would be getting our information in the mail from Disney in 14-28 days. We received our membership number today. Just curious how long it might take to have the points loaded. We also received our deed in the mail today. Thanks for any help.

Contact Member Administration and ask them. I would think that you should be all set up.

Is member administration the same number as member service or is there another number to call. The MS person said to call back in a day or so to see if they have been loaded in to our account.

I think that it #3 in the phone tree. You may have to leave a message for a call back. At one point they wouldn't answer the phone but they would let them go to voice mail.

Now that you are an owner, you will begin to see the problems and issues that my family finds surprising for Disney.

Thanks, I will give them a call tomorrow and hopefully everything will be worked out - I just want the points loaded so I can book my trip!!
 
Let us know what you find out. Sometimes it just takes a phone call to "jump start" everything.
 
Hi ! We received our membership letter on Saturday. We called on Sunday, waited on hold for about 5 minutes and booked 6 days at Boardwalk. Super easy - Our points were ready to go.
 
I think I saw it posted that one person creates the account and another person loads the points for resale contracts. When we bought our second resale contract, it take a couple days for the point to load after we had on line visibility to the second contract..

We received our membership number in the mail around 4:00 yesterday, by 5:00 we had a Kidani Savannah view booked for fall break 2014.
 
I haven't had a chance to call yet since today was busy from start to finish. I will give them a call and let you know how I make out. Is the membership line open 24/7 or do they have set hours. Also, we have our membership number but don't have an activation code yet. Does that come separately or is that included in the membership packet we are supposed to get within 10-14 days after our membership number came. I know the finish to all this is in sight but unfortunately for me its not fast enough!!
 
Well still don't have any points. I called Member Services again to see if they were there and they said the computer showed they should have been in our account as of 10/29 but they aren't there. I then called Member Administration and after being on hold forever she said that they haven't gotten anything from the people above them and it could be another week!!! I called Magic Vacation Title and our agent at the Timeshare Store and they are both working on it. The Title company said they have contacts that will hopefully have it straightened out by tomorrow.
 
Wow. I'm sorry this is taking so long. The next step I would have suggested would be to contact the title company or the representative you got the points from and you are already on top of that. Sending pixie dust you way. :tink:
 
We have our points!!! Already have our Aug. reservation made - so excited!! Our representative from Magic Vacation Title came through for us. She had some contacts higher up with Disney and they took care of the problem first thing this morning. Hopefully our closing in Jan will go smoothly. Thanks for all the help.

Shame that they didn't follow up on their own since they got paid to do your closing.
