How Long To Get To Yacht & Beach Club Dock From The Garden Grille Restaurant In Epcot

Was wondering how long it would take us to get from the Garden Grille in Epcot to the Yacht & Beach Club for an Illuminations Cruise?

We have a 6:00pm ps at the Garden Grille and need to be at the boat dock at the Beach Club by 8:15pm. Does this give us enough time--we will have my 70's something parents with us so we will be taking our time and there will be no brisk walking.

Do we take a bus, boat, or walk--which is the quickest with the least amount of walking?? Thanks everyone!

Depending on your speed it can be between a 20-35 min walk....I would guess with older folks around you could probably guess more....You could take the boat after exiting the international gateway but that won't necessarly be any quicker....

If your PS's are 6pm and you are done by 7:15 I think you should have more then enough time to get there.... I wouldn't leave past 7:30 just to be on the safe side...

Any meals we have eaten at that restaurant have taken just about 45 minutes to an hour. You would walk to the England Pavillion take a right through the international gateway and there are boats there you can ride to the Y& BC boat dock which is probably your best bet. Be sure to get a guidebook when you go into EPCOT and you will be able to see on the map which path to follow for the most direct route. As the prevous poster said it may not be any faster but depending on how far your parents want to walk it could save on the legs. You can always see if there is a boat in or coming in when you get to the turnstiles and decide if you want to walk the last bit if you think you're running out of time.. Sounds like fun - have a great time!
