My plane is scheduled to arrive at noon, mid week, so how long does it normally take to get through security, baggage claim etc??

We just went through last week. Arrival was a breeze. You take a very quick, and short, monorail to the main terminal. Let's say 10 minutes. Then it's 5 minutes to baggage claim.

When you're checking in to head home, you're looking at some of the longest security lines you've seen in awhile. But they're organized and efficient. We were daunted when we saw the line but we were through it in about 10 minutes. Way way way faster than anything at Pearson.

The worst part is the rental car kiosk.

Last year was Budget, over an hour in line, and it was not overly busy. Previous year was National; they have handy little kiosks that get you out quick if your ressie is in order. We are back with National again this year - I learned my lesson!

If you're flying out of Canada & pre-clear customs it's super quick. We usually spend more time waiting for the Magical Express bus than actually getting through the airport!

We landed about 7am and were at the resort checked in and in our room by about 8:30am.

We took ME and they picked up our luggage. We waited on the bus for a few minutes but were taken straight to the bus (no line). The driver was nice enough to take photos of my niece and I in front of the bus.

I used the online check in and it was very fast-no line there either.

I hate MCO!! LOL We had a horrible experience in February. It took us well over 2 hours - almost 3 hours - to get out of MCO once we landed. Security sent us every which way and kept telling us different things with just our carry-on that was already off the plane!! And it took forever for us to get our luggage - over an hour for sure. Going home back to Toronto was no problem but arriving in Orlando was the worst experience I've ever had at any airport. Including Cuba!!! Its part of the reason I am wanting to drive this time. LOL
