Has anyone pre-ordered the photopass + and had it delivered to Australia? If so, how long did it take to arrive? And how does it come (AusPost, courier etc)?

I ordered one on the 12th and haven't received it yet. This coming week is our last week before we leave so I'm starting to freak out a little

If it doesn't arrive on monday I will probably call on tues and see if they can track it for me - part of my OCD :rotfl2:.

Does anyone has experience with this...:confused3

Hi there!

The photo pass isn't a physical pass, it's a code sent via email that you enter on the photo pass website when you come to place your order. When you're at Disney, the first photographer who takes your photo will give you a card with a unique number - you then use the card over and over again while you're there - every time a photographer takes your photo they can scan the card and all your photos are stored under the card number. After you get home, you go onto the photo pass website, enter your card number, download the photos and then "pay" for them using the photo pass code. Store the photos on your computer and then if you want them printed you can put them on a USB stick or a disk and take them to a digital print shop and have them printed.

Note if you forget to take your pass to the parks on a day you can get a new one and then "join" then together online. However don't lose the card - once lost the number cannot be easily recovered (if at all).

If you have pre paid a photo pass but have not received a confirmation email, phone the service direct.

The FAQ section on the photopass website has a lot of good information.

I ordered the PP+ for the trip I just got back from & from memory it took right on 14 business days but that was due to the October long weekend. Fingers are crossed it arrives Monday for you!

The main thing you need is the paper voucher to collect your PP+ card when you arrive which was sticky taped to the outside of the DVD cover & the voucher for the actual CD to order after was inside. Going from memory at 1.30am so hoping that's right lol provided you allowed the 14 days Disney can't argue with you if it doesn't arrive in time & you call them about it to get one in the park maybe? Good luck :)

Thanks for that. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Monday.

Frangipanisam: do you remember if it arrived in the regular mail or by courier?

It was normal mail from memory & I think it was small enough to leave in the mail box but I can't be sure. I had so many things arriving in the mail at once I can't remember which ones I had to get from the post office lol

13 days all up - to regional Qld!! Normal airmail into my letterbox (& I pre-ordered DL & WDW Photopass+). Why is that I can receive packages ordered form the USA almost as quick as stuff my Mum sends up from Tassie??

I'm sure yours can't be far away. Maybe check your post-office just in case they couldn't fit it in your letterbox & it was raining (or something similar).

14 days in total or 14 business days plus weekends? Mine took 14 business days plus two weekends, including the October long weekend. Not sure why considering I'm in the Sydney metro  hope it arrives tomorrow!

It has only been 11 business days, so it might still come by Friday.

I sent off an email today asking what happens if it doesn't arrive before we leave, hopefully i get a helpful reply :rolleyes1....

I'll check with the post office tomorrow to make sure it's not there. The weather has been pretty sunny and we have a large mailbox, but it doesn't hurt to check!

Frangipanisam - what do you actually do with the voucher that comes in the mail?? I was under the impression that I was supposed to take my voucher to one of the photo centres in the park and they would give me some sort of photopass plus card. Is that right? I've been emailing with someone at photopass and they are insisting that there is no 'special card', that it's just a credit to my account to get the photo cd and a photo book??? What?? Photo book??:confused3.

They also insist that any photographer at the park can give me the card. I thought the card itself was different from the regular photopass cards? I know the phtographers hand out regular cards, and we can add thoses to our account too, but i thought the photopass plus card looked different to the regular ones. Do I have it totally wrong?

Thanks for your help on this. It's our first Disney trip and we have no clue :rotfl:

Nope your right! You swap a paper voucher for a PP+ card at the photo shop in Main Street and you can add other PP cards to your account t but you need the PP+ card to get the ride and character dining photos otherwise according to them you haven't paid for those extras. The person you spoke to has no clue lol and no idea what they meant by photo books...weird lol

Thanks Frangipanisam - you've been heaps of help :worship:

The person I was dealing with clearly does not know what the photopass plus is! On the upside - it arrived today :cool1::cool1: So now I'm in business! I may actually be in a photo or two - how exciting :rotfl2:

6 more sleeps :yay:

nikdisney, did your FP+ CD's & Voucher arrive? Did you speek with a more helpful CM to clarify what can be done? I've had my fingers crossed for you - here's hoping you have it all before your trip.
