I used top think 5 nights was good but with a seven year old and no other adult around I am thinking at least 7-8 nights may be ideal.

Typical stay is two weeks.

In 2006, we stayed 18 nights! :dance3:

Depending on the time of year, my trips range from 4 to 30 nights. 4 during the warmer months, 30 during the cooler ones. ;)

We usually stay 7-8 days. Anything shorter and we feel rushed. I would love to be able to go for a 2 week trip sometime to really get a chance to take advantage of some of the opportunities lower down on the priority list.

My line of work has never accomodated more than a week away at a time. So, after 10 years we still do the Sun. - Thu. routine. Sometimes we'll do Fri. & Sat., but not often.

Because of the distance and airfare costs, we usually aim for 10-12 nights.

Our trips have been between 8-10 nights. And yet... still doesn't seem to be enough :rolleyes1

Our trips are usually 6-8 nights. But next June it will be 11 nights

We takes 9 days off every Spring Break in April but visit my elderly mom the first 4 days in Boca Raton. After that, we drive up to Orlando, armed with a cooler full of meatballs and chicken cutlets and stuff ourselves the rest of the vacation. Hate myself when I get on the scale back home. Pig, Pig, Pig Pig, Pig!!! Takes two months to lose that extra fat!!

We have never stayed more than 5 nights so far. Eager to stay in a future summer visit for at least 10! (but being frugal, we'd probably find somewhere else to go for the weekend nights)

I am amazed by those who stay up to 30 days! What do you do for that whole time? Do you eat in the villa for most of the stay?

I mix it up, eating out and in my studio (yes, studio). ;) I spend most of the extended trips solo, as DH doesn't have lots of time off, but he does fly down for a short trip. I either walk to Gooding's (from DTD) or order from Garden Grocer. I do have some restaurants I must visit -like the Coral Reef or GF Tea - but I do eat about half of my meals in my room. I get food to go, also.

7 or 8 nights. Next summer I'm planning 12 nights....Vero/WDW:cool1:

I've heard of people -- retirees, perhaps? -- who have enough points to spend 8 weeks in their DVC home. One couple I read about (maybe on these boards, eons ago) flew down every year for January and February. :worship:

Much as I'd love to do that, I imagine the annual dues would be killers. :scared1:

We usually do 2 to 3 trips per year for 5-7 nights each. Just depends on time of year. I love to be able to go more often. But gas prices getting so high we may start doing longer stays and going less often. :goodvibes
