Since FP will probably be gone by 4:00 which is when we get to Epcot, how long should we expect to wait in line when we get there? (We are going in 10 days). We have dinner reservations at LeCellier at 5:00 and didn't want to push it for time. Should we go after dinner instead? Do you think the line will be shorter by then?

Longest. Expect 60 - 120 minutes.

Shortest would be 40.

We were at Epcot on Thursday. We didn't get there until about 6 pm because we'd been at Typhoon Lagoon for the afternoon. Headed straight to Soarin' where all Fast Passes were naturally gone and the wait was 140 minutes! We left to enjoy other parts of Epcot and around 8.30 noticed the crowds of people streaming to get a spot for Illuminations, so we decided to see what it looked like at Soarin'. Since the park closes at 9 pm, we thought it might be worth a chance to see if we could still get in if everyone else was headed to Illuminations.

The standby line said 70 minutes wait, but the CM asked us how many were in our party (2). She then handed us a Fast Pass and sent us into the FP line!!! So we got in to see Soarin' in about 10 minutes. We were thrilled for the pixie dust that got sprinkled on us that night. When we exited, we caught the high fireworks from Illuminations, so it was quite magical.

I was wondering what happens to people who are in a long queue when the park closes. There were hundreds of people in the standby line when we went through, only 20 minutes left to closing time and the standby line said the wait was 70 minutes. Do they allow all those who were in the queue to ride even if it's after closing time? It was 9.10 pm when we exited Soarin' and they had a lot of people waiting when we boarded.

After about 10 a.m. I've never seen that line less then sixty minutes. FP are usally gone by 11:00 ever time we've checked. My DD and i decided to ride it in august. we got in line about 9:00 were one of the first 200 people rode it in about 15 minutes. When we exited we were going to FP it and the wait was already 1:00.

If you are in line at park closing, you will get to ride.

I know when we went last summer in August, the lines in the late afternoon, early evening were always atleast 70-90 minutes long. We did not get to go on it, but had just gone to DL the summer before and experienced it there. We will try early in the morning this trip to get a FP first thing or ride first thing and get FP for test track or MS.

ryley26: I am sorry, just a quick question, Do you mean after you rode Soarin at 9:00, when you got off, the next fast pass time was 1:00 or the regular line was an hour wait. Sorry I did not sleep that well last night LOL and am not clear. Thanks!! :teeth:

To the OP Good Luck! I think you will probably have to go after dinner, however the wait may be as long as 90 minutes. If you could try to get into Epcot one morning, I think that is the best thing for that ride. It is still so popular, but I know sometimes schedules just do not allow it. Have a great trip!
