How long of a trip, and how old should my kids be?

Hello! :wave2:

Hope I'm putting this in the right thread.

Planning our first trip to WDW. I went to Magic Kingdom once when I was 10 and loved it.

My DS just turned 5, my DD just turned 3, and my baby is 3 months (September birthday).

Was considering October/November or so of 2014, so the baby would be around 13-14 months or so and the older kids approaching their next birthdays (Decembers).

I expect we'll go again at least one more time in their childhood (hopefully more!), so no need to do it all on this round.

How does this itinerary sound?

Day 1: Arrive, hotel pool, perhaps character dinner?
Day 2: AK
Day 3: DHS
Day 4: Off day, play at resort, maybe another character meal?
Day 5: MK
Day 6: MK
Day 7: fly home?

You'll note I don't have Epcot on here. Some places I've read suggest this age group wouldn't necessarily appreciate it but I'm open to your feedback, as I haven't been there myself. We could add it on perhaps, or just save Epcot as something totally brand new for our second trip with older kids.

Should we add an extra day or two, and if so how should we spend that time? I know if we add extra days in a park, the price won't be that much more so I'm definitely open to it. Mostly I just don't want us to be worn ragged, ya know?

So my two main questions for this thread:

1. How many days should our trip be, and how might you tweak that itinerary?

2. Would an older 5yo, older 3yo and 13 month old be good ages for this trip? Or would it be better to go, say, May 2015 with a 6.5 yo, 4.5 yo, and 20mo?

THANK YOU!

I like Epcot, but I am old. :rotfl2: There are some fun things to do (even rides) and the countries are fun for food and atmosphere. I don't think you are ever too young to go to Disney. While your baby may not remember, lots of pictures will make them smile as they grow up. Just my thoughts.

Also, if you want folks to post, you should read and post on reports so people can find you, again, just my thoughts.

Disney for Families might be a good place to post your questions. My DS who was 5.5 LOVED Epcot. We had to drag him out of Innoventions. We all loved Soarin and Test Track, too.
