How long is the wait in regular line bs DAS call back line?

I’m trying to gauge whether I need DAS. There is a medical issue that effects trying to stay in a line for too long. I understand DAS is the same wait just not in the regular line. Can anyone tell me once you arrive for your DAS call back how long a person general waits in line before entering the ride?

It really depends. You go through the fp+ line so it really depends on how long the line is. We've waiting a minute or two and we've waited 15 minutes. Usually we are on the ride within 10 minutes. Your experience may vary.

Compared to the regular line, how long do you think waiting in the regular line would take if the FP+ line takes 15 minutes? Like an hour?

Yes just depends on the FP like like the PP said. Any where from a minute or two to 45 Minutes ( in New Year’s Eve for space and I was done for the day after thst ) most of the time 10-15 minutes

The DAS return-time is equal to the posted standby minus 10 minutes. When returning, you enter through the FP+ queue. I would plan for up to 20 minutes, though it is usually less but occasionally longer. The number of FP riders and DAS groups who come through around the same time can impact that wait, as well as whether the ride had gone down previously or while in the queue.

If you are in line (standby or FP/DAS) and need to leave the queue for any reason, I recommend speaking to the CM on your way out.

Enjoy your vacation!

I think what you are asking is how does waiting in the standby line compare to using a DAS. That varies widely based on the ride, time of day, time of the year, breakdowns and a lot of other factors. There is really no way to predict that. If you have an issue not related to mobility that makes waiting in the regular line difficult I would go ahead and get the DAS, then just use it as needed.

One would need a crystal ball to know exactly, but we can give you ballpark estimates based on examples. I just went during a less busy time in December and would say most FP lines were 15 or less. We waited for a couple a bit longer. It really depends on a lot of variable factors. When the basic FP+s are issued, there are only a certain amount released for each slot. Howeve, when it's busier the more people in the park will ramp up the amount of people using DAS (etc) in the FP line. Also, people are issued anytime FPs for things like when rides break down etc. Factor all of this in based on the crowd prediction levels.

My son needs a DAS when we go to the parks - he's good for up to a 30-ish minute wait, and we found over the last few trips we never spent more than 30 minutes in a FP line (generally the longest waits were for the most popular rides, of course). If you have an issue that might make leaving the line necessary your best bet is to discuss it with the ride CM, otherwise plan for a max 30 minutes in the FP line and know that it usually comes in under that.

I generally use a rental ECV at the parks but will sometimes walk through a FP que (when I have a FP - or sometimes the person I'm with has a DAS) if the que is easy to walk (like Buzz Lightyear or HM) - not too long or a lot of steps, or if my knees are feeling good that day, etc. I sort of roll the dice that I won't end up having to stand for a long period of time in the FP que either and generally that is the case - under 15 minutes. If you see the FP que is really back up outside the attraction then you know it's probably going to take awhile! Sometimes the ride goes down and it affects both the regular and fast pass lines. I agree with others to speak to a CM if you're in the FP que and need to leave. I've generally found them to be helpful.

I also have had really good luck getting fast passes - I either get the first 3 before my trip or before I get to the park that day (sometimes getting them while I'm on the bus to the park!) and then I use the "refresh" method of getting fast passes after that. You may want to try this to supplement a DAS if you get one - which may give you more options for finding a ride with a shorter FP que.
