how long is the fairfax card

good for ?

hubby wants to get one and save money on it for our next trip (yay we are going again) not that we have had our trip yet this year !
possibly 2-3 yrs time .

It is valid for 3 years from the date of issue.

The other thing to bear in mind is that, according to the small print, there is a re-issue fee - not sure how much it is though (someone else might know)

I would guess the renewal fee would be the same price as the card since they have to send you another one? So £9.95?

A. Your FairFX Card will be valid for 36 months. When it expires, you will no longer be able to use your FairFX Card and we will arrange for the balance of funds to be transferred to your new FairFX Card, after deducting any outstanding transactions and fees (including the replacement fee). However, we will not issue a new FairFX Card if you tell us in writing or by e-mail at least 28 days before the date your FairFX Card expires that you want a refund instead or if insufficient funds exists on the FairFX Card account to meet the replacement fee.

Oooh, I hadn't seen that before, I always thought it was £9.95 - either it's a new policy or I need my eyes tested.

Can you possibly post a link to where it states this on their website I have checked all the obvious places but can only find reference to the first part you quoted, about the replacement card fee etc. nothing about fee-free renewal
