How long is the courtesy hold?

How long is a courtesy hold on a room? A TA put a hold on a room for us last Friday, then we ended up finding out that Costco would be a much better deal for us, so decided to book with them. There is a certain room we want and it is still showing on the Disney site as booked. I emailed the agent on Saturday and asked if she could release the room, but doubtful she will since there is really nothing in that for her. When would you expect it to be released automatically? I want to call Costco right away once it is available. Thanks!

I believe it's 3 days.

And it it possible that someone else snagged the room between it releasing and you trying to get it through Costco.
