How long in the park

We are planning on taking a 10 day trip to CA, however we want to do other attractions (Sandiego, and LA stuff). How many days do you think is a good number to spend in the park? DH and I went 8 years ago and spent two days, this was before DCA however.... but now we have DS (6) so I am thinking we will be a bit slower and maybe want to spend more time enjoying the magic. How many days between the two parks have you found as a good number of days?

Last May I took my daugheters and grand kids (kids were ages 3 and 5) and we spent 4 days over Mothersday weekend. I felt that was just about right. Maybe one more day would have been nice to have but I didnt feel rushed and we did everything more than once that we wanted to.

It totally depends on when you are going and if there will be crowds to contend with. More crowds requires more time to accomplish everything. We go during off-season mid-week usually to avoid most of the crowds. I like 3 days for those types of crowd levels. If you are going on a weekend or around school holiday periods, I would say 4-5 days would be more comfortable.

Maybe 3-4 days should get you everything you want and more at DLR. Then, you still have plenty of time to go do tons of other things in Southern Cal. Your kids are going to have the time of thier lives, I know I did at DL when I was thier age! (still do too!)
