to secure a one bedroom at one of the Orlando resorts what is an resonable time frame to call and secure the room. Do you really need to reseve it 7 months out?
thanks

:Pinkbounc It would depend on what time of the year you are going. If you found a real good deal, I would not wait to reserve your room. :earsgirl: :earsboy:

The time of the year
is important but also the resort. Some resorts are small, like BCV and WLV. Others are larger such as OKW and BWV and the new SSR which is not fully built out yet.

Another point to consider is that times that might be low occupancy for other resorts, might be high occupancy for DVC, since points are usually less during those times.

I booked BWV 1 bd. standard view during the Epcot Food and Wine Festival the first day I could at 11 months. The F&W is a busy time of year at BWV and the std. views go fast - there aren't all many of them. I know that at the 7 month mark, they were pretty much booked. BCV books up fast, too.

At less busy times, you probably wouldn't have as much of a problem, depending on resort. The smaller resorts fill faster. OKW and SSR are much larger. WLV is the smallest. But you never know, sometimes you'll just get lucky.

A previous poster is correct. If you are going to book a larger DVC resort like OKW, you can wait.

But if you are booking a busy time of year at a smaller resort like Beach Club Villas, the earlier the better. :earsboy:
