How long has it taken for you to get your mypoints certificates?

Hey folks - just wondered how long it has taken you to receive your certificates. The web site says 4 to 6 weeks once you've requested them. Does it usually take that long? Also, to get it turned into a card to use in the parks, how much additional time is that? We're hoping to use our points for our trip in September, but I'm afraid we may have waited too long. Anybody done this before?

Thanks & God Bless!
Mark

I haven't ordered in about 4 months, but the last time it wasn't that long. I'm thinking it was no more than 2 weeks.

it depends, sometimes I get them in about 10 days and sometimes its been almost 8 weeks. I know when I order them around the holidays it seems to take longer so you may be ok.

I ordered webcert's in June and they took about 3 weeks. If you are converting them to a disney gift card on-line, then that could take another week for shipping. Also, Disney will put a charge for $1.00 through and then a charge for greater than the amount of the gift card through and will readjust it later. I had to eventually add money to my webcert. account in order to get the Disney gift card. (it kept getting rejected for insufficient funds)

Are you talking about a Webcertificate? If so, it's been my experience that MyPoints sends them out in batches about twice per month. If you're lucky, you ordered yours just before they are scheduled to send them out.

It will be sent to your email and you then redeem it online by opening an account or depositing it to an existing account. If you want to be able to use it for shopping in B&M (brick & mortar) stores, you will need to order a card. It will cost you $6.95 to purchase the card. It looks like a regular MasterCard debit card and works most places that take MasterCard.

I recently had to replace my card because it was due to expire. Yes, I've been doing rewards programs for a long time! Anyway, it took less than 3 weeks to get the card after I called for the replacement. They replace expiring cards at no cost.

With September right around the corner, you will be cutting it close. You might want to set up a Webcertificate account now and deposit a small amount of money in it. Then order the plastic card right away. That way, even if the MyPoints webbie doesn't arrive until the day that you leave, you will still be able to transfer it to the existing account and you'll have a plastic card to use in WDW.

Another option that may work for you would be to print the page for your webbie account once you've received the webbie. Take it to your local Disney Store and use it to purchase Disney Dollars. Some people have had success doing this but not all stores will do it.

Good luck, whatever you decide to do. Keep in mind that the webbies are good anywhere that takes MasterCard, so you won't be stuck with a useless GC even if you don't get it in time to use on your vacation.

I ordered 3 webcertificate through mypoints the first week of August and got all three of them yesterday, less than two weeks!!! Actually, not even 1 week. Not sure if I just timed it right or not but I thought that was fast.

Hey everyone - thanks for the answers. Here's hoping we'll get ours before September!

God bless!
Mark
