We are trying to squeeze in an ADR for Afternoon Tea at the GF, and I was wondering if you all could provide an estimate as to how long I should allot to this "meal." Thanks very much in advance for any suggestions. :goodvibes

I've been to afternoon tea three times. It is fantastic. We normally get the Prince Edward's Tea. You can get ones that come with less food. We take about 1.5 to 2 hours, but we eat very slowly and talk a lot b/c we leave our kids with our husbands and feel no need to rush back. I would think you could do it in an hour if you didn't dawdle like we do. We have such a good time its becoming a tradition. Hope you have fun.

Thank you very much for the input, Freerjl! I'm very excited about the prospect of the Tea, and it's great to know that we won't be rushed out if we too decide to linger. Thanks again!

I agree ... about an hour-and-a-half to two hours. It's a great, relaxing, and very tasty experience!

I desperately want one of those small castle cakes for my anniversary that only GF offers, so I was wondering if it would be okay to have one delivered at the afternoon tea. We're also on a tight budget and the kids are too old for the character meals.

We had one of them delivered during our tea this past October. Just give the GF a call about two weeks before your scheduled ADR and order one - it was about $25 for the mini castle cake. It was gorgeous and it tasted really good, too. :goodvibes

DH and I were done in a little over an hour, you set the pace...our server was fantastic and she didnt rush us at all and you can sit and drink tea as long as you want to

  :cloud9: :yay:

I can get my castle cake and it won't cost a fortune for the meal!! Maybe I'll even let me dh get a beer.

Just got off the phone with a CM to get my adr for the tea. Couldn't get it when I wanted it, but I managed to rearrange a few things and I got it. Now to decide exactly what cake I want. I really love the little castle cake, but then I like the minature wedding cake, but they're so small, maybe a bigger cake to eat on the rest of the week. oh well,I have a couple weeks to decide. How is the dress there? Would we be okay if we came over from MK if we there in the morning?
