How long for estopple?

I was just wondering how long the estopple process is taking now? We are on day 19. Also, what happens next, how long does that take? and when do you predict I will be in Disney's system so I can make a reservation? I am very anxious.

I was told it is averaging 2-3 weeks- so it should be soon for you.

It took mine 3 weeks. It was just one week ago that my paper work came back from Disney and I am hoping to close early next week.

I got my ROFR back quickly but ended up closing late because the estoppel paperwork from Disney took so long.

You should get your estoppel back very soon. I cleared ROFR on 3/27 and my estoppel came back on 4/21. After the title company receives the estoppel, they prepare your closing docs. I had to sign two. One that tells you exactly what comes with the contract. So for us, it had 150 points at Vero, Dec UY, 150 points from 2007 and no points borrowed from 2008. The second was a summary of all of the costs and who agreed to pay what with the total amount we owed to GMAC. DH and I signed both forms and sent a certified check last Wednesday, 4/30. Once the title company receives that, they will close the contract and record it. That process takes about 1 - 2 weeks. From there, it's 7 - 10 days to get into Disney's system.

Here's a time line from beginning to end on our last contract. This contract is taking a little longer, but running really close to the last.
* Contracts went to Dis for ROFR around 1/16.
* Passed ROFR on 1/31.
* Estoppels came back to GMAC on 2/17. This allowed the title company to prepare the closing docs.
* Received closing docs on 2/20. Returned everything to GMAC on 2/21.
* Deed was recorded through Orange County on 3/7.
* We were in Disney's system 7 days later and points were available.
* Booked first vacation on 3/21.

I am a lucky one mine only took 7 days but that is the exception some take as much as 30 days.

We passed ROFR in 10 days. We are on day 27 of the Estoppel stuff............I'm going to check in on Monday and see whats going on!

Ditto for us.

We did resale last fall/winter and I chalked the slow estoppel process up to end-of-year activities, but it appears that part of the process is the new hold-up.
