How long for Breakfast at Chef Mickey's???

I'm thinking about breakfast at Chef Mickey's for the morning of our MK day. This would be Tues., Dec. 3 - MK officially opens at 9 am (I think). They begin breakfast at 7 am; is this correct?

Just wondering how long breakfast here may take, and then - how long of a walk to MK gates? I'm not expecting "monster" crowds. But, MK is usually always crowded. I'd like to get some of the fave "kiddie" things taken care of before the crowds.

Any experiences with Chef Mickey's in the am?

We did Chef Mickey's in February of 2001 and since it's a buffet it's at your own pace. I think we were done eating in less than an hour though and that was mainly waiting for the characters to come around. Any my guess is it might be a 10-15 walk to the gates - depending on the ages of your kids. I think it's a fun character breakfast.

Thanks for your input! My kids will be camped out at the "bacon" table. So, I guess once they run out of bacon - we'll be on our way to MK - LOL!

We ate CM breakfast on our first full day last September. We had PS ressies for 7:45am. It was perfect timing. We got our picture taken right away and were seated right after that. No waiting.

We ate our food and met with all of the characters. We did not feel rushed at all. The restaurant was not insanely crowded, so the buffet lined was moving and and had no hold-ups. MK opened early that morning (this was in the days of EE) We took the monorail all the way around, since we had my parents with us and they did not want to walk. We made it into the park before 9am.

If you don't mind getting up ealy, it's the way to go.
