I am in the midst of ironing, can you guess? ;) How long does it take you to iron a cotton blend shirt with spray starch and an iron of course. I come in at about 3 minutes. 100% cotton takes me 4 minutes.

Just under 3 minutes, unless it's pretty wrinkly or I am distracted by the tv.

No time at all ;) ..

My husband buys the more expensive (but more time saving) iron free shirts. They look fabulous straight out of the dryer :thumbsup2

That is why I do not understand why people send their husband's shirts out to the laundry! It would take me longer to start the car than iron them.

My high school boyfriend's mom took in laundry. We'd stand in the kitchen and iron and talk. Back then I could do it in about 2 minutes. Funny thing was that my Dad sent his out but I never volunteered to iron them, lol! Thanks be to heaven my husband does not wear dress shirts!!!!! I bet I could still put a nice press, starch and all on a cotton shirt in 4. Once you learn from a professional, you never forget the order or exatly which direction to go. Talk about useless information. ha!

I think the men should learn to do it themselves or pay to have it done. It's tedious work and a woman has so much more important stuff to do.:happytv:

About 6 minutes. That's for women's shirts, though, so the darts make it A LOT harder! Also, I'm a terrible perfectionist, so it takes me a lot longer than it really should.

I'm like an assembly line with ironing, and only take so long because I am particular about creases.
I used to have to iron the entire household's clothes growing up. My mother wanted almost everything ironed!

My sister loves ironing. She irons her husbands shirts (at least 20) at a time. She finds it's relaxing. She taught me how to iron . Ugh, I on the other hand don't enjoy it. But I do it (don't have a dryer). DH also does tasks he doesn't enjoy.

I like ironing. Takes me 2-3 minutes depending on the job.

I just started using Niagra's new non-aerosol formula bottle. It's the best spray startch I've tried.

herc.

No time at all since I don't do it. My husband just throws his shirt in the dryer for a couple of minutes. If his clothes actually need ironing he does it himself.

Probably about 3 minutes.

I iron EVERYTHING except underwear and sheets. Wrinkles are my enemy. ;)

Ten minutes total: start car, drive three minutes to dry cleaners, drop off, drive three minutes home, repeat the next day. (Or in nice weather, thirty minutes of walking.) ;)

Actually, DH never wears dress shirts, so I have no need for ironing skills. His church shirts are wrinkle-free or polos. And I feel safer letting someone else make sure the dress blues are properly creased. My ironing board is where I fold laundry.

Around 3 days. I dump the lot at the local dry cleaners and have them do it! :thumbsup2

Well, that depends on how heavy the traffic is between here and the dry cleaners. But it's usually hanging back in the closet nicely ironed with medium startch witing two days :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am horrible at ironing, my dh does it much better than I do, but even he isn't great. Luckily he doesn't have to wear nice dress shirts to work, he wears the three button, collar shirts. But when he does wear his nice dress shirts, they go to the cleaners.

How about fatigues? I actually HATE ironing them. I hate the new velcro that sticks to everything.

The truth? Probably around 15-20 minutes and it looks like Hell when I'm finished! No one has ever shown me *how* to iron and, for me, it doesn't come naturally. :sad2:
