My 8yo has a gymnastics meet in Daytona Beach that we will be going to the first week of February.

My plan is to spend Friday at Universal, but just do IOA/WWoHP. I see it is open from 9am to 7pm. When at WDW, we easily burn up a day per park.
Q: How long does it typically take to get through this park?

From reading, is sounds like the best plan is to head staring to WWoHP and do that first. Q: A Friday in February shouldn't be that busy, shoud it?

DW & I will be going with a11yo, 8yo, 6yo, and 2mo. I have not spent much more than 30 mins browsing on here, so not to sound lazy; Q: any good tips about the park? I have never been there before

A: The whole park can be done in a day, if done right.
A: It depends on what areas of the country are on school vacation/spring break when you go. Hopefully not.
A: If you're staying at a Universal hotel, go early, first thing, to Harry Potter. If you aren't, get there before the gates open to the park, and still try to go first thing, but if there's a line just to get in the area, it means it's mobbed. It usually clears up a little later in the day after the rush has gone through.

I think that you can get IOA done in a day. Just get there early as Pumbaa said and you should be OK.
