Anyone call to get their reward card? WE are going in April & wondering when to call & order them. How long did it take to get them for anyone that has done this?

I have almost $600.00 worth!!! I charge EVERYTHING! It will be great to have the extra money!

Now if the AP codes come out...it will go even farther!

I did receive mine in 2 weeks, but I think they tell you longer on the phone. I would make a point that you need it for your trip.

I just checked online. If I order my card today, it will be shipped on 3/5/2004. There is no charge for standard shipping but rush shipping is available for a charge of $10 (charged to your Disney Visa). Standard shipping is supposed to take 7 days from shipment date. Rush shipping should take 3 business days (as per the website).

I would order it now but only transfer the minimum 20 points. That way, if it doesn't reach you in time (which I think it will) you won't have points on a card with the time ticking away (they do expire once you tranfer). If you get your card before your trip, just call or go online, and transfer the points you think you'll need to the card and you're good to go!

BTW...mine took less than 2 weeks.

Hi,

I requested mine online on a Wednesday and received it the following Tuesday. Online it tells you the day it is scheduled to be shipped and they estimate about 1 week for delivery.

My friend requested hers the night before I did by telephone and it came the same say as mine, although they told her it could take up to 2 weeks to come.

Either way, it worked out great.

I am having a hard time concentrating as we leave for our 1st ever Disney vacation in just over two days!!!

question: once you get your card, how long do you have to use your points before they expire? I was going to order mine for my April trip, but didn't realize that they expire so quickly???

Another question: If I go ahead and transfer say 25.00 dollars and get the card, can I then at anytime transfer the remainder that I have already accumulated onto that same card if I haven't spent the orig 25.00. I would think if that is true then I would be smart to go ahead and have card sent to ensure I have it before trip. Also do I have to have a certain $ amt to transfer each time?

GREAT NEWS!!! I talked to the guy on the phone about it, and mine would've been scheduled to arrive the day I leave for FL (not the day I leave from Raleigh to go to Asheville to leave for FL) so I didn't know what to do...Then he told me that I can get a card from Guest Services at WDW and call from there to have the balance transferred-the whole thing takes less than 15 minutes! I'll test this theory Friday night!!

I called today to get my card. According to the lady who helped me, you have to put at least $20 on to get your card originally. After that you can transfer any amount of $10 or more at any time. I left a little over $10 in my account so that I can definitely transfer any amount that accumulates between now & our trip.

I would love to hear from some people who have actually used their cards. Did you have any trouble using your card? Do you have to keep up with your own balance? Are purchases charged to the penny or rounded off? The kids got some "credit card" gift cards for Christmas & they were a pain to use, so I'm skeptical about the reward card.

I have used my Rewards card and it's so much better than the original system. The first time I received my rewards, it was gift cards and those were a pain.

I only had one problem with my card and that was because the catalog put in the wrong expiration date on it and it was rejected. I have used it twice at the store and it's been fine. I would be sure to check my bill though to make sure that they actually come off the bill.

The Rewards balance is printed on each bill when it comes. The transfer once you have the card is immediate unless their computers aren't working. That happened once, but then it was the next day.

The card has a number like a credit card too and an expiration date. I think I received mine last Nov/Dec and mine expires in 12/04. I assume I will just get a new card when that one expires.

I wasn't sure about your rounding off question. I thought it was in reference to how they figure the Rewards dollars. I don't know for sure. I'm sure it's in the longggggg description of the Rewards dollars.

Here's one thing I don't know about and I'd love to know the answer to. I redeem my Rewards regularly so I don't have a huge amount so when I have used them, I have never used them for the entire purchase. I wondered if you could use the Rewards dollars for the entire purchase or did you have to charge a portion on your Disney Visa?

I Have heard that it is use it or lose it on your cards?
you should check into it. My SIL says it is one year from
issue and if you do not use them you lose them.

I would say that's true once they are put on the card. My card expires 12/04, but my statement is Jan 2009. Don't transfer them unless you can use them all. I am worried they will discontinue them so I use them regularly for catalog orders or at the store.

Thanks for the info.

When I called today, the lady told me when my reward $$ would expire, but I'm planning on using all of it next month on our trip, so I didn't pay attention to the expiration date. I'm nearly positive it was some time in 2005 though.

Has anyone used their reward cards in WDW? I want to use mine to pay for our food & souvenirs while we're there. Will I need to keep up with how much we "charge" to the card so I know how much is left? Will they be able to tell me how much I have left? Or should I just charge everything to the room & use my reward card to pay when we check out?

as to rounding- When my kids used their "credit card" gift cards, their purchase amounts were rounded to a whole dollar. For example, a purchase price of $15.24 took $16 off the card. That's not a big deal for one purchase, but if you're using the card several times a day it adds up.

I don't know if they can tell you what's left on the card.

I do not believe that it rounds like that, but I've never not used the entire amount in one transaction.

I would call Bank One about both of those questions.

We went last Oct 2--a day after they started using the cards. I just went to guest services at DTD got a card, they have phone right there for you to call to have your reward dollars transfered over and then we went to lunch at CP and used our rewards only 1 hour after transefering them. It was all very easy. If you bill cycles close to your trip I would wait to get one there so the reward dollars you earned the previous month will be on there as well.
