how long does it take to get through each park

That looks like a two day for MK to me. I think your hardest park to do in a single day will be DHS. You've got some rides with longer lines and/or shows on there. You can do that in 5 days, but they will be a long 5 days.

I'm guessing you won't get to everything on your list. But it depends on a lot - whether you are open to park hopping....how much time you take for meals....if you hit the parks each day at rope drop...if you take advantage of EMH....how much time you take to stop and smell the roses (whether that be shopping, people watching, catching parades, sitting down and relaxing, running through the sprinklers, playing in the exhibits at Epcot)....and probably most important, just plain old luck - even with a good touring plan, a day that is busier than normal can add two hours to a day, and a day that is unusually light will make you wonder why people say you can't get it all done.

My kids at certain ages could spend hours in the Boneyard or Honey I Shrunk the Kids. At other ages, we could spend hours doing meet and greets with characters. It took three evenings to get masks done - but that included stopping for a few shows or snacks or a peek in a shop.

guess I should clear up what I meant by "everything". I didn't mean every ride and every shop. Mainly can we get through the key things.

I forgot what time of year you were going, but I think that looks like a doable list. In DHS, either time rope drop and go immediately to Toy Story or get a fast pass. That has been the longest line for us. And, get your map with the show times. You will have to schedule the live shows and may have to walk the park several times over.

As for the character greets, the one in Epcot is 30 min to 1 hour wait, but when you get in, you get to go to all 6 characters. At AK, there were 2 different areas, one with individual lines to 4 characters and one with one line to the Pooh characters. Even when we did character meals, dds still wanted to go through the character greets, despite pictures and autographs with them already. So, when we have been short on time, we have skipped the longer greets and used the pictures from the meals.

At MK, Peter Pan is a long wait. We usually go twice to MK because there is so much there, and my girls love the castle and princesses.

Like you, we have 2 days at MK planned and one each for the other 3. What helped me a lot was making a list of the attreactions we REALLY want to do and then a list of the ones that we have done before and would like to do again but if we don't, it's fine. I also ordered the free maps from the Disney site since you can choose what appeals to you for each park. They also sent some gold stickers you can add to the maps to add other things you want to see and do. I also did the online itinerary so I can keep track of meals, etc. and I can make changes if need be.

Of course we've been to every park on every trip and done ALMOST all of the attractions, but not ALL of them. For example - we still haven't made it over to Tom Sawyer's Island or ridden on the Paddle Wheel Boat.

Us either... LOL! So much to do and see. :goodvibes One trip we were there 8 nights at the Poly even... I would have thought we would have gotten these in, but we didn't.

if it were my family....i would do 1 or 2 ADR's at someplace you really really want to try or like. that way you would have a little more time in each park.
our last trip was DH, Me, DD's 17 & 9 - (my DH is not a disney freak, so bare this in mind) we did no ADR's, spent 2 full days at MK, and 2 days shopping at DTD. DD17 & I spent a whole day at EPCOT, and wished we had more time - we missed alot.

if we ever get back, it will only be us girls, DH is not intrested in going again, (3 times is enough for him:confused:)
I am going to plan 3 days at MK, 2 Epcot, 2 HS, 1 AK and 2 DTD - also a few days to enjoy our resort offerings and tour resorts we have not see yet.
We like to have plenty of time to smell the roses per say, notice and take in all the little things that make the magic:wizard:

I am trying to figure out if 2 days would cover the list for Magic Kingdom and if 1 day would cover the rest. They are not interested in most of the parades. I am going to pick 5 must try out of each park. Just trying to figure if they will get to do more. I want to go to DTD, but I have that worked out. We are arranged to eat at Planet Hollywood after Animal Kingdom closes so I will check out of couple of the shops after we eat.

Seems like a hefty list, but you might be able to do it. MK for two days is great! I think not doing some of the other shows at DHS helps as these take a lot of time. It will depend on how much time the dining takes at the parks. It is not unusual to have to wait awhile before you get seated. Adding more time to your dining experience. But I totally get why you need the break to get off your feet. We did some of our trips this way too.

A little off-topic (and I have no idea what you dining plans are), but Ohanna's is really fun - for the kids too. A short monorail ride to the Poly from MK and the food was good. It is a fun place to go. Just wanted to offer my two cents. Also-- Spectromagic is really something (evening parade at MK) and I'd try to see it once if you can.

Have a wonderful trip and enjoy!
