How long does it take to get the contract?

Hello everyone! I am new here and I really love this forum!

Anyway, I am getting married at Disney July 31, 2011. Yesterday my coordinator finally got in touch with me and we put my date on "tentative" hold. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long it takes from the "tentative" hold to get the contract signed? My coordinator emailed me and said there were 4 emails she would be sending out to me that were all part of the contract, but that was yesterday morning and still no emails. So I was just wondering if it takes a while or if my coordinator is just slow. Usually everytime I try to contact her she takes forever to get back to me. Maybe I'm just really impatient...:littleangel:

You might have to wait until the end of the month to sign the contract, depending on the type of wedding you're having and your locations.

She told me we could sign it right away. We are having the ceremony at the WP and reception at ADH. So I know we can sign it a year out, PLUS she told me they just changed the rules so that now people can sign contracts 16 months out.

Just keep checking your email, it will get there eventually.

I know, the waiting part sucks the most! :lmao:

We're a little less than 16 months out with a Wishes vow renewal, and have the tentative hold on our locations, but in our hold information, it states that we still can't sign a contract 'til 12 months out. It's confusing ... I'm not sure why they instituted the new 16-month hold if you still can't officially book 'til a year in advance.

The waiting part is definitely the sucky part!!! :sad2: I'm just a little concerned because I do not want to end up having to go into lottery. She told me the date was open, but you never know what might happen between now and the time we get to sign the contract. :scared:

If you have a tentative hold on your date, and you have already been through the drawing process, then it may take awhile for the coordinator to get the contract to you.

I know that we had our date of June 3rd, and we didn't get our contract until July 2. I did send our coordinator Michelle an e-mail just letting her know that we didn't receive the contract yet, and she sent me an e-mail back that since there were lots of weddings booked in June, they were having a delay.

If here are lots of weddings for the month you're in, then it may take awhile for them to generate all the contracts, in order to make sure all the brides get their correct dates/times/etc. This way, they can avoid an incident like the movie Bride Wars!

I don't think we've been through the drawing process, but my WC made no mention of a lottery for my date. This waiting game really sucks. I feel like I'm back in the military..."hurry up and wait."

I love Bride Wars!!! :rotfl:
