How long does it take to drive from Sanford airport to POR?

We will be flying Allegiant Air into Sanford and are thinking about renting a car, how long should we plan our trip to take?

When we flew into Sanford, we had a towncar. It took about 50 minutes to get to POR. I would think it would be about the same for you.

Give yourself about an hour to as much as an hour and a half from door to door... depends on time to get the car, toll stops, traffic depending on time of day. We drove 417 around noontime with NO problems... door to door an hour! Just bring lots of change for tolls (about $7 worth).

Traffic on 417 from Sanford is usually just backups at the toll plazas going in one direction, and only during rush hour... compared to I-4 which gets backed up at all hours.

It takes about an hour to drive to WDW. I would take 417 because I-4 is always backed up. Just make sure you take alot of change for the tolls.
