How long do you think it would take you to plan a Disney World vacation?

If you watched the movie Steal Magnolias the scene where they are at the Christmas festival is the festival we went to. It is in the town they filmed the movie in.

I haven't seen that movie. (I haven't seen a LOT of movies.) I get bored just sitting and watching a screen...short attention span I guess.

My friend went to some Christmas thing in St. Francisville this year.

I saw the tree in Rockefeller Center...but it was the night it was lit up and the area was an utter madhouse. The police were there doing crowd control with assault rifles and helmets and there were a ton of barricades. People were crawling through them/over them/arguing with police, etc. I was just trying to get through the area to go somewhere.

Steel Magnolias is one of my favorite movies. I always thought it would be fun to go to a festival like that.

Ok, I KNOW that I subscribed to this thread. I am ABSOLUTELY positive. So you can see why I was very suprised to realize that I haven't been getting any update notifications! I was thinking today that Laura has been mighty quiet and I hadn't heard anything about your PTR??? So I decided to check it out and find that you're already on page 5 Don't know what happened but I'm glad I checked!

Ok, so Courtney. Wow, I would want to bang my head against the wall. That girl! She'll wise up I'm sure. It makes me sad because I know how much planning you, we, put into these trips and for her to not be into it, that would crush me. I don't look forward to Aubrey having attitude! Good luck with that. I'm sure she'll come around.

Love the plans so far. I've never stayed at PORS but that's where we're staying in May. Are you doing the dining plan? I'm trying to figure out if we should do it again or not. It's just sooooo much food.

Alrighty, time to go to bed. Hope you had a happy New Year! Glad I;m all caught up!

PS- I had no idea the NYD menu was a southern thing! Just thought that's the way it worked! I ate my weight in black eyed peas. Mama needs a new pair of shoes (aka a trip to Disney!)

She has really started repeating words lately. I am amazed. I thought something was wrong with her because Courtney and Brennan were both talking really well at a early age. She is just on the normal track I guess. When Brennan was her age I have him on video saying, " I run. I run in circles like Taz." That boy!

You are so funny with your black eye peas. I did choose to do the dinning plan and then I called and took it off. It is so much food and we throw away half of it. The kids waste all there food at TS meals. They barely touch it. Courtney will try a little more than Brennan will but she eats like a little bird. Her and I could easily share a meal. I doubt they let you do that.

News Flash..............
The injury coteau chick recieved yesterday to her foot is fine. We are glad to report to you that she is going to make it. She did have to perform surgery on her foot from her living room recliner. The surgery went fine and she removed a spec of red glass out of her foot.

On another note we have no news as of now about weather the obnoxious teenager will go to Disney World with coteau chick and her family. Stay tuned and we will bring you updates as we get information.

Oh dear. You are too much. I wonder what would happen if you, me, and DisneyTiger get together!

Go to WS without her. I'd say let her sleep in and go in the morning one day, but WS doesn't open until 11. Hmmmm....She's 16, right? I think that was about the age that my parents let my brother and I split off for partial days a couple times during the trip so my parents could do what they wanted and we could do what we wanted. We would stay in the same park and have a designated meeting time and place. Worked like a charm! Of course, since it was a family trip, we'd only do that for a few hours a couple of times during the week, but it kept the peace!

Hi! I read your last trip report and LOVED it! We were there last Mardi Gras too, and although we get 3 days this year, we are going for our birthdays

I have an 18 y/o DD, a senior in HS, who wants NO part of Disney anymore breaks my heart but what can you do? Her school goes there for senior trip in April and guess what? She doesn't want to go!!! I think teens are more concerned with boys, friends, school than vacations with family. My other 3 are DIS addicts! They beg to come here and read TR

Look forward to hearing all about your planning and your trip. I cannot believe how much Grace has grown since last TR! She is gorgeous, really! Hope you get Courtney to change her mind and join you all
