How long do you think it would take you to plan a Disney World vacation?

The Begining of the Story



We had a trip planned to Tennessee during our kids Mardi Gras Break from school. It's a long story but we had to post pone our trip untill fall. We decided we were just going to stay home for Mardi Gras this year. Last year we went to Disney World for Mardi Gras. My husband said we couldn't go back to Disney World until our youngest child turned four. She is only 18months right now. I knew I would change his mind sooner or later. I just didn't think it would be so soon.
We were sitting on our front porch drinking coffe the other morning. Dh said to me, "How long would it take you to plan a trip to Disney World for Mardi Gras? Are you kidding me? I can have that done in about two seconds. You don't have to tell me twice. I am sure many of you know what I mean. If you are like me and on disboards everyday. You probbaly have several trips planned in you head already I was seriously just working on getting him to go in 2010. Now I have like seven weeks to get everything ready. How can you complain about that ?

Let me start the introductions

Me- Laura- I am a stay at home mom of three. I love Disney World. Probbally just like you. I am the one in the family that loves to plan all our trips. This will be my third trip to Disney World. I went with my parents when I was sixteen. I hated it and said I never wanted to go back. We went on the fourth of July and it was hot and crowded. The thing I remember most is waiting in line forever. We went to MK on the 4th and Epcot on the 5th.

In 2006 Dh won a trip to Hawaii from work. He hates to leave our kids and we the trip was for two to Hawaii. When the paper work came in it was actually a travel voucher for $5,000. We could use it however we chose. Dh asked me to book a Disney World trip for us and the kids. I really didn't want to go but I booked it. I started researching and found out all kind of stuff. I was starting to get excited about our trip. We went for Mardi Gras 2006 and had a blast. I started planning our next trip for Mardi Gras 2008 right after we came home. Well................ we got quite a surprise later that year. I found out I was pregnant after nine years of trying. We had given up hope and our dream of another child was finally coming true. Dh didn't want to go to Disney World with a baby and he said we had to cancel the trip. After Grace was born I convinced him we could go with a baby. He finally said yes. We went on our 2008 Mardi Gras trip with a seven month old and it was a blast.
Going back to what I said earlier dh said that we couldn't go back until Grace is four. Now it is not even a year since our trip and he has me planning another one. I am more than willing to do it.

I just previewed my post and realized that my fonts are huge sorry. I will continue to the next post and make them smaller.

Courtney knows but it is a secret from Brennan. I tell Grace in her ear everyday that we are going to see Mickey Mouse.

Hello! I am new to the DIS boards My MIL introduced me because we are going on a Dis cruise in 2010 with her. But then this christmas my parents told us they are taking us to WDW in May. I am taveling with DD- will be just over 2, DH, DMom, DDad. We are staying in a time share condo. and I need ot plan for 7 days. anyone with info or the right place for me to post woudl be appreciated!!!

Welcome to the DIS. Let me just tell you, you have come to the right place my friend! I know that anyone here would be more than happy to help with your plans. I just went this past September with my DD3 and DS18mo so I can give you lots of tips on traveling with little ones. What a great Christmas present from your parents! Welcome to disboards. Warning it is adicting SP? . You get hooked on these boards easy. You will find alot of nice people willing to help you here. You could post your question on the Disney for families board. That would be a good place to post a question. Don't worry anywhere you post it you will get great answers and advice.

I want to introduce dh Faron next. He is my best friend. I just can't begin to tell you how good he is to me. We met when I was seventeen and he was eighteen. The night I met him I told my best friend later that night that I was going to marry him. She told me to shut up and go to sleep that I was crazy. She was the maid of honor in our wedding. Faron and I wanted five children. We have three. We are so blessed to have them. I don't know if God is going to send us anymore children but he need to hurry if he is going to because I am 37. Faron is so good with our kids. He loves disney world as much as I do. We say when he retires we are moving to to Disney World. We will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary in Feb.
