How many days is ideal?
How many is too short?
Is there such a thing as staying too long?

I'd say to do the parks justice you need 3 days. We like going for 5 days, this allows us to repeat all of our favorites even during the most crowded of times. This trip we're going for 6 1/2 days.......excited to have a little extra time.

As a kid (before DCA) we never did less than 3 days. With DCA, I won't do less than 4 days but prefer 5 to be able to enjoy the park at a leisurely pace.

Time of year, croud levels and your pace make all the difference. If you are going in the off season and are the type to schedule your fastpasses and which ride at which time, then you may very well be good with 3 days or even less. Going over the 4th of July holiday, you will need more days.

hi there, we coming back to DL in may for our 3 trip in 3 years...on all the trips we have done 5 days in the park and 10 in anaheim...We figure if we are travelling all that way and paying all that money, we want to stay long and make the most of it...5 days in the parks gives us time to really appreciate everything and get in a LOT of rides...i bet we have rode space mountain at least 20 times per trip...4 days wouldnt be too bad either, but 3 would be pushing for us, we would feel like we had to run the whole time...enjoy and have fun :cool1:

I do a minimum of 5 days.

This summer I am going to buy a 6 day hopper.

But fingers crossed for an Annual Pass so i can go 7 days haha

3 days is usually good. It does depend on how often you go or the crowds or how fast you can really go.
1 day is pretty short but if it is open extended hours then it isnt to bad but 1 day doesnt really work out to good if it is your first time or if you dont go to often.
For me, 5 days is a little too much because we usually see everything and ride things and get a little bored but it is nice to not rush.

How many days is ideal?
I would say four days is ideal

How many is too short?
Two, if your trying to do both parks.

Is there such a thing as staying too long?
Not if you combine say a San Diego getaway. Take some time to enjoy the Socal beaches....its good for the soul.

I could do everything I wanted in 3 days, I think. Last time I went, we did 6 days, and it was awesome, because we could do everything we wanted and then some -numerous times- at a leisurely pace.

And since I love vacation so much, NO, there is no "too long" for me! ;) There is only...too pricey. :3dglasses

We just did 7 and were glad to go home, not because we ran out of fun doing repeats and exploring things we had never done. But, we did run out of energy. It is just too hard to not be there and stay there for as long as possible, because we just love it, so we don't go off and do other things like we think we would, and don't take long rests.

Minimum of four days, although its been years since we have only stayed that length! Our longest stay was 11 nights (yep you read that right, 11). That trip we did some other things in the area (beaches, visited family one day) but we did the parks each of those days but one. And we were not ready to go home as usual! We enjoy staying onsite for those longer trips, dining around the resorts and DTD and just really taking it all in.

But four days will give you about enough time to get what you want in!

I stay as long as a I can!

This trip will only be 3 days, and I'm panicking that I'm not going to get enough in!!

The longest we've ever stayed is 3 days. It's like the magic number. This summer we are going for a week and I'm so excited to not rush! :lovestruc

ideal: 4 days

too short: minimum three days, anything less is too short

too long: I would plan 5-6 days maximum at DLR. You could plan more days if you want to do other activities in the area.

We like at least 3 days but prefer 4-5. We went once for 7 days and by day 6 we were a little bored. If we have more than 5 days we usually pick WDW over DL.

Speaking as someone who doesn't get there often enough, at least 5 days. We like to be efficient and see and do as much as we can in a day, but we don't like to do the commando thing.

I am glad that you asked this question. We are going at the end of June for 7-9 days. I was wondering if it would be too much too. We do have some other ideas if we need them but I am not committing to anything other than the beach and 1 day at Lego Land.

I felt like at WDW we had to work so hard to see everything on our list that we were exhausted! I still want to see a lot but I want to take a little more time to enjoy the days together.

I think it really depends on how often you go. We can go and enjoy the parks in 3 days but we go fairly often and know the parks extremely well.

4-6 days when it's our whole family that way everyone gets a turn leading the way and we don't get stressed over not seeing our favorites. Its very slow paced when we stay that long.
When it's just a couple of us we go 3 days. Me and my 12 year old run around like maniacs.:goodvibes
