How long do you figure DVC will offer Saratoga incentives?

I'm trying to get DH to agree that we need more points (130 to be exact) at SSR.

I'm wondering how long everyone speculates the incentives ($10 off per point and AP's) will last. Everyone get their crystal ball polished.

I'm so nervous that I'll finally convince him and the great incentives will go away. The AP's can be saved until we need them, correct? They won't just automatically start when we get them, right? We have friends who are CM's now who can get us into the parks for free, but eventually those AP's will come in very handy to us.

We just bought last week at SSR (first time buyers and I'm still trying to figure it all out!!) and I knew about the $10 per pt but what's this about the AP (that's annual passes right??)

Am I missing something??

The AP's are offered only for add-ons of 130 points or more.

We bought last week too. We had been thinking about it and took the tour on Wed. or Thurs. and bought. Now I just have to figure out how to pay for it. I'm excited about it but know that eventually we will buy more points. We only got 160 and I think we may need more. We will just have to see. I would rather stay in 1 bdrm instead of studio but we have a little while to decide.

Well I was probably there with you!! We did the tour on Monday morning (well 1/2 of it b/c we had a PS for the PSB and had to cut it short) and then on Thursday morning we were back there again and bought!

That AP sure would come in handy though.... wonder how long they will offer that for??

I'd say call your Guide and ask. Worst that could happen is the response would be that the offer could end at any time. Best case you may get a more specific answer.

Personally I think it's tied to sales of the Phase 1 points that DVC kept for current members wanting to add-on. A couple months back DVC made a global decision to just sell Phase 2 points to new members. That left them with a block of Phase 1 points that were retained for sales to current members.

Shortly thereafter DVC re-focused its energies on buying-back resale contracts and providing add-ons to members at the other resors. My guess is that this decision negatively impacted add-on sales at SSR to the point that they decided to try the APs as incentive to jump start SSR add-on sales.

That's all just a theory, of course. Still no idea when the APs may end.

We are in the process of Phase ll add on at SSR of 130 pts. We got the AP's, my guide said that the promo was over Oct.2, but clearly it is still going on.

The promotion for California DVC members ended on Oct 2nd.

We purchased Phase 2 as add on points of 130 points, $10 off per point for waiting on Phase 2 and got our APs as well. We got confirmation of our credit app approval and now we wait until May 15 - Jun to see when they close on Phase 2 and we will have a total of 360 points.

SSR = between $95 - 85 per point (depending upon incentives)
OKW, VB, HHI, BWV, BCV, VWL - $89 per point (subject to availability)
