It took us over 3 hours for dinner, and we vowed to never go back. It's been a couple of years, and I'm thinking my breaking my vow.... I really want to try it again, but our experience was terrible. How has it been lately? :confused3

We've been there 4 times for dinner. Shortest was 45 minutes. Longest was an hour and 15 minutes. Average is an hour. Sorry you had such a rough time...what happened???

In 2008, it took us an hour, if that give you a reference.

I'm not sure. We were seated over near the entrance/bathroom at a large round table. We couldn't see any of the action, and our server was S-L-O-W. It didn't even seem like we were on the rotation for the meats. We didn't get very much food and we sat there forever.

After reading some good reviews, I'm thinking we just had bad luck. I think I'm going to try to talk my family into trying again, but it is going to be a HARD sell. :guilty:

We were there the first of Dec. and slow doesn't even cover it.
Our meal was close to 2 hours. It would've been nice since my bff lives down there and joined us for dinner to visit, but it was so loud in there we couldn't hear each other!

Have loved Ohana in the past, the food has always been great but we will skip it for a while now due to this experience.

I would say the earlier the better for time if you want to chance it....but I would go with the mindset of being at least an hour.

We have gone 4x in the past 5 years with 2 to 7 people and it has yaken between 1 and 1 1/2 hours each time. I will say we usually dine early, I think 6pm was our latest reservation.

We've been there 2 times. First time was leass then a hour. Second time was over a hour because we waited to see the fireworks. If we didn't wait the second time probably would have been under a hour too.

We went back in 08 and it took us an hour and a half but that was with a 4 yo and an 18 month old so I felt like they are what took us so long. We plan on going back this next trip, we loved it.

I was there in 2007 and 2 hours went by and we were not even on the main course. We had not recieved our meat only salad and shrimp. I was so ticked and tired, I asked for my check and was finally done another 45 minutes later! Gave it another shot over the summer and we were done in about an hour and a half! I am very glad I gave it a second chance, if I knew that it was going to be that good I would have demanded my food the first visit! It was so good I was tempted to have friends visiting fedex me their left overs! I think O'hana's goes in spats. The good friend's on the DIS thought my experience was not normal and I should give it another chance. I am glad I listened to all the great people here. I was missing a spectacular meal. IMO, Give it another chance.

We ate there in December and I believe it took a little less than an hour. It was perfect for us, we like to eat and get back to the parks.

Wow that sounds EXACTLY like our experience. I think I'm going to chance it. Hopefully, we'll get lucky this time. :)

We've been about four times inthe last few years. I'd say between an hour and an hour and half is about correct for the average dinner. More, if you include your actual ADR and happen to have to wait past it a bit. (some times you get seated very close to your ADR, and sometimes you have to wait for a table to open up.)

Incidentally, we had rather bad experience at the Poly sushi bar on our last trip. There was one server for the entire area (seats along the sushi bar and along the window.) The system was really odd, and "the computer was down" part of the time. We almost gave up on getting our food, but the sushi was quite good. It would have been nicer if the whole meal had been quite a bit faster though.

Beyond that, the bathrooms in that area were disgusting during our last 'Ohana visit (August). Paper everywhere, water everywhere, soap all over. Nothing truly foul, but they obviously had not been serviced in some time. The family restroom was even worse. I would never expect to see such a thing in a resort that expensive. They have always been clean in the past. I walked in before our meal and then decided I could wait.(they were that bad.) After our meal (so at least an hour later), I tried again. They had not been serviced. While I was in there though, someone finally came to clean them. I felt bad for her, they were really dirty.

2hrs for service and then 90 minutes for the manager to fix the bill as the server really bungled our bill.

I had that same problem in 12-2007. When I was upset and ready to go I had to wait an additional 45 minutes just to pay. Just added fuel to the fire. From the start, they said the delay was the system was down. I never did figure out why that was an issue with our food bc everyone gets the same! If I were smarter and not on the dining plan I probably would have psuhed harder to get my meal comped since technically I never got all of it. What miffed ne the most when dd was not into the food, I asked about the children's selections.About 20 minutes later the "cook" came about bc he heard that I had complaints about the food. Where my server got I was complaining about the food I will never know! My bad experience was back in the day that the tips were included in the dining plan.I wonder if that had someting to do with the poor service? I will say in August 2009 I had a much much better experience that made me fall in love with O'hana's.
