How long did it take you to get your $500 gift card?

We bought direct from Disney 2 weeks ago and have gotten our paperwork, made reservations, etc...but still haven't received our $500 gift card for being referred by another member. Our guide hasn't really given us a good answer as to why it isn't here. How long did it take you?

I haven't bought points in a while--certainly not since they started the $500 gift card incentive...but for the purchases (four altogether) I did do, I didn't get any incentive (other than the discounted cost per point which could have been used as part of a down payment, had I not been paying in full) until after closing...

So, I would venture a guess that you'll get your incentive "goodies" (including, don't forget, the tote bag!) after you close...

Well, that would make sense, except there is a form in our closing paperwork that requires us to sign an acknowledgement of receiving the gift card......

We just sent back the papers for our add-on today. Our guide told me that we'd receive the gift card after we closed. I'm pretty sure the intention of the document regarding the gift card was to lay out the circumstances underwhich you wouldn't receive the card -- i.e. you change your mind and don't actually go through with the purchase.

I thought I read that someone used the $500 gift card as part of their deposit. Can they do that? How would they handle that one? Just curious.

We added on points at AKV 3 weeks ago and just received our $500 gift card on Friday. We have not signed anything at all yet. We were told if we decide to cancel they just deduct the $500.00 from our down payment. It should be to you any day now! Good luck.

I received my gift card within a couple of weeks after signing all the paperwork. It actually came quicker than I thought it would!

I didn't know anything about the 500 gift card... I was referered by my dad. My guide knew that since she sold to my dad... I wonder if it is too late.

We got our gift card about a week or so after signing all the paperwork. We questioned that form in the docs so we called our guide and she assured us it was sent out seperately. If I remember correctly it was sent by Fedex and it was just the card and a letter. Hope you get yours soon!
