How long did it take you or family members to recovor from wisdom teeth removeall

I had all four pulled out when I was 21. My top two had broken through the skin, and the bottom two hadn't come through yet. I was put under during the operation, and had to be driven home. I went to work that night, and other than being a little sore, I was okay.

I was knocked out for it- pain wasnt during the procedure, it was after-- I took pain meds for a few days but I am not a big pill person and don't like the feeling of being on pain meds so I was not going to take them the entire time-plus I work at a place where we can't even take nyquil the night before and go to work the next day, take it and you need to take off the next day from work... It was the fact that I couldn't open my mouth for months and the pain of trying to open it more.

yeah i wasn't able to fully open my mouth for i think 4-5 days afterwards but i was still eating mostly soft foods and liquids so it didn't bother me too much.

i don't generally like to take pills, either. and i have a hard time swallowing large pills, but DH cut them up for me and i took them in halves. and as long as i took the meds i was fine. i think i stopped taking them by the 3rd day.

i'm 23 and had mine removed just over a month ago. my two uppers were fully impacted and the one (only one) on the bottom was half impacted. i had it done by an oral surgeon under anesthesia in the hospital. i had minor bleeding when i first woke up but otherwise my recovery went way better than i expected. i went home, took a pain pill, and slept the majority of the day. the next day i was moving around fine. i was given a prescription for prednisone to prevent swelling, and whether it was because of the drugs or not, i had practically no swelling at all. i didn't even have to use any ice. my jaw was sore for a few days but i was eating normal within a week of surgery. honestly the hardest part about the whole thing was keeping food out of the wounds but by now they're entirely healed up. my sister had 4 removed when she was 18 and also had a very quick recovery. good luck!
